5 Productivity Ideas For Mobile Marketing Success

Success in mobile marketing requires not just expertise in your niche but also other traits some people ignore. For instance, confidence can endear you to clients. Getting your affairs organized will make you more productive. In addition, your networking skills can land you top-self mobile marketing clients. Here are five other factors you need to know.

1. Single-handling.

Stick to a project until it's 100% complete. It is never advisable to switch tasks in the middle. When something comes to your mind jot it down and refer to it later. This is an effective way doing it instead of making phone calls or Facebook posts in the middle of writing an article or email.

2. Perfection threshold.

Perfectionism is one of the factors that inhabit productivity. Write an article that looks insane. You build momentum and you can actually see how fast you write when you are not worried about anybody.

With a bad first draft you can now, with the same momentum, do a second better draft. The subsequent drafts will, keep improving. If you do this habitually you will improve your speed faster each time.

3. The 30 day habit law.

To be more productive, you need to form habits that increase your efficiency, save time and make you focused. If you currently don't write your following day's goals the previous day, try it for 30 days. If your working hours are erratic, try sitting on your desk the same time daily for 30 days. If you work with distraction, try sitting down for a minimum of 60 minutes working in this block of time each day.

There are many efficiency enhancing habits you need to form to stay unstoppable. You can reevaluate your life and see what habits you need to change.

4. Cross-pollination.

If you are observant enough and interact with other efficient companies, people, process or nations you will see many efficient performances. Online groups could introduce you to faster ways of saving pdf ebooks for easier of retrieval. A martial arts group could help you improve your personal exercise. Your local delivery person may introduce to you routes you can use to negotiate your town traffic faster. Cross-pollination ideas are endless for anyone with the desire to improve.

5. Optimization.

Everybody has routines when handling tasks. And people normally start the day in a certain way. They may start with task A followed by task B, C and D. On some day they may start with task B followed by A, C and D. What you need to identify is the combination that is optimal. In day-to-day activities you must use the processes that are most efficient. Possibly use a chair that makes you type faster or sit in certain angle which makes you think creatively.

To get fully optimized you will need to do several tests and be conscious to observe your feelings, output and other minor efficiency indicators that show your progress.

Mobile Games Development: The Right Way To Develop Games For Business Marketing

The exploding smartphone world provides a lot of opportunities for business owners to expand their reach and attract audience who couldn't be approached with other methods. Just like the way internet revolutionized the marketing industry, smart phones are also paving a way for a much bigger revolution. Rather than hooking up with a computer terminal or portable laptop, people want to stick to their mobile phones which is not only used to access internet, but also to have loads of fun on the go. Mobile games development process involves developing games for smartphone users and due the prominence of gaming industry, businesses are more interested in gamification aspects that help them to touch the audience at a more deeper level in a fun filled way.

Mobile games development: What Should A Mobile Game Include?

Mobile games are developed not just for fun anymore. While the game developers spend several hours to get recognized and earn profits from gamers, the business world is taking a whole new look at mobile gaming. Mobile marketing strategies now include gaming as well because gamers form a wide group of people and entrepreneurs want to get to those serious gamers. Even though businesses use games for promoting their brand name, it is important to understand that features of a game should never be compromised. After all, gamers expect to get hooked up with a game and they should never be disappointed.

Mobile games development involves a lot of brainstorming because innovative ideas are the key to make a game successful. Most of the games are popularized through word of mouth advertising. It is due to this viral marketing that Rovio's simple game Angry Birds grew up to a much bigger merchandise despite the big whales in the industry who are investing a large amount of money in games. Smart phone users are highly networked and connected and recommendations from friends are highly regarded. So, if the game you have developed for business promotion is good enough to keep a gamer interested for a few hours every day, then it will automatically become a success.

These days, smartphone users prefer to stay connected all the time irrespective of what they do with their phone. Apps like Four Square became an instant hit mainly because they enabled users to connect with their friends at any time and share goodies they receive. Similarly, mobile games development should also include social login and multiplayer game modes in which a smart phone user can compete with his friend who has also logged on to the same game. In-game chatting is a widely preferred feature in mobile games so that players can interact and stay connected.

The mobile games development process should essentially understand what a gamer wants and deliver it perfectly. The importance of graphics can never be ignored and now with more powerful hardware in mobile phones, it is high time to take advantage of the hardware properties to create stunning graphics. At the same time, the game should not be very resource intense because modern smart users are constantly multitasking and you don't want your game to jam the phone.

3 Things You Need To Have When Using Mobile Marketing At A Healthcare Clinic

Businesses across all industries are increasingly using mobile marketing to augment their marketing efforts. Learning institutions now send students text messages to alert them about new assignments posted online. Restaurants regularly send menus and special offers to patrons at appropriate times of the day. Charities have raised millions of dollars using mobile marketing. And healthcare clinics have not been left behind. If you are involved in this sector, here are three things you can do to increase your return on investment.

1. Have a one-to-one relationship with patients.

Have a great interaction with patients. Allow them to use text messages to book or cancel appointments. Send medication reminders, mobile coupons and test results by SMS. Introduce a platform where patients can ask the doctor a question that is disturbing them.

A one-on-one relationship of this nature will increase bonding, loyalty and referrals. A strong customers relationship will allow you to increase prices without facing stiff resistance. In addition, your healthcare clinic will stand out and be perceived as caring and sensitive to patient's needs.

2. Have an accurate and updated customer database.

Let patients opt in to your database with the option of opting out if they need to. Build this database of patients whom you will send regular offers, informative articles and relevant information.

A good database will help you see the spending habits of patients, frequency of visits and an analysis of the prevalent ailments. Your marketing decisions will be more accurate when they are based of truthful information.

Having a database of people who have consented to receive marketing messages from you is a mandatory legal requirement. Without this you risk fines of $16,000 per SMS that you send.

3. Have surveys.

When your data leaves some questions unanswered, a survey will untangle the puzzle. Carry out quick and easy surveys online or via mobile phones. The surveys that produce a high response rates are those that have a 'bribe'. Consider giving something to respondents for free. It could be a free consultation, coupons, or a chance to win something valuable.

Final thought...

Success in using mobile marketing in a healthcare clinic doesn't come once. It requires continuous refinement, improvement and refocusing. However, once the system is running the benefits far outweigh the trouble of setting it. Given the fact that the US is fast approaching 100% mobile penetration rate, mobile marketing is worth considering and implementing.

4 Marketing Laws You Need To Know

Every market has laws that govern it. Some are written and others are not. Some are complex to understand while others are easy to follow. In most cases only a tiny proportion of the business community understands these laws. Here are four that may be of interest to you.

1. The law of leadership

This law says that being first is better than having a superior product.

People remember the first person, product or company but rarely do they remember the second. Most of us will tell you the first person to land on the moon but very few can remember who number two was. People remember the Wright brothers and their first plane but not many can tell who number two was

2. The law of parallels

This law says that when you are number two, your strategy is determined by the number one player. So the best thing to do is to avoid competing with the number one player. You either do something opposite or parallel to the number one player.

In real life this strategy is witness with Coke and Pepsi; where the Pepsi took a different strategy from the established Coke.

I think as a mobile marketer it would be wise to follow this strategy. The number one player determines the pace and direction of the industry. The best option would be to watch the competition but move in the opposite or parallel direction.

3. The brain law.

This law says that it is better to be number one in the consumer's brain than in the marketplace.

I think this concept is of critical importance. Consumers are consistent and if they place you number one in their minds, you remain so unless you don't want to. This means that gaining 'brainshare' is better than market share.

I think as a mobile service provider you can capture the minds of consumers by educating them, showing your apathy and understanding their needs. The only challenge is how do you measure mind share? It is difficult but, increase in the people who adopt your products could be an indication.

4. The Law of triumph

This law says that as a company achieves one triumph after another, it gets caught by a fatal disease of forgetting the customer which ultimately leads to failure.

It has been observed for years that success often creates arrogance. And arrogant people alienate customers quickly.

At the height of its success, General Motors was an arrogant company. And even when they had lost their success, they did not realize so. They went in private jets to Washington to beg for bailout. When asked why they didn't fly commercial, they said it was because of security reasons. These executives never realized that soon they would be out of employment and would have to take cabs or trains to move around.

This arrogance of the success bug can easily catch a mobile marketer. And the best way to avoid it is to maintain humility even when you are successful.

5 Mobile Marketing Productivity Tips You Need To Know

Making more money does not necessarily mean working more hours. You can increase your output and so your income by being more efficient. You can raise your productivity and income by being focused. In addition, you can form good habits that automatically enhance your productivity. Apart from those factors, here are five specific tips you can use to boost your productivity.

1. Have daily goals.

Every day have a set of goals that bring you closer to your grand goals. May be as a mobile marketer you want to dominate your chosen niche of text message marketing. You will need to do something daily that moves you closer.

A goal that is written down is better than one that is in your mind. The mind thinks in pictures and when you write a goal down it brings conviction as more senses are involved when writing.

Keep your goals simple, realistic and attainable. This will require honest self-analysis that will help you estimate the time it takes to complete a task and the resources you require to do it.

2. Start with the toughest task first.

When you start with the toughest tasks you defeat procrastination and your day becomes a success. Small wins motivate you to conquer others.

Tough is relative and what's tough to someone may be easy to another. In addition, what is tough today may be easy 6 months from today after you are used to doing it. However, I think you know what is tough to you. To some people its writing articles, for others it calling customers, yet for others it is doing workout.

3. Maximize your peak times.

You need to identify your peak productivity cycles and schedule your most important tasks during this period. Minor tasks can be performed during off-peak times.

You may find that writing a newsletter to your clients is the most important task and that your peak time is morning 6:00 am to 9:00 am. What you need to do is write the newsletter during this period when your mind is fresh and alert. From my past experience, I have noticed that, most people's peak times are in the mornings. Therefore it would be unwise to reply emails or update your Facebook pages during your peak time if these are minor activities. It would also be wrong for you to watch an in-depth CNN coverage of an earthquake in Iran. This certainly can be done during off-peak seasons.

4. Learn to work in solitude.

Productivity is highest during long uninterrupted blocks of time working solo. Sometimes it is difficult to work in solitude especially for mobile marketers who work from home surrounded with their family members. However, success is about solving problems. And you can solve this by either working late in the night or early in the morning when everyone is asleep or locking yourself in a room for minimum 60 minutes.

This is especially important when you are doing key tasks that require concentration. Your clients will not understand that when you were writing them your 2-year old son was pulling your trousers and you failed change their names on the emails. Now John is receiving an email meant for Elizabeth.

5. Identify milestones.

You need to have small and big milestones on your work. A small milestone may be to write 1000 words. A big milestone may be to write a 150,000-word eBook. To boost productivity have a milestone that you work towards and you don't stop till you hit it. Once you pass the milestone you can reward yourself with a cup of coffee or a pat on your back.

Major milestones are a reason to celebrate. And your body will be anticipating clocking a milestone so as to be pampered. For instance, if you are able to write and finish a 150,000-word eBook and put it for sale, you can treat yourself for lunch when the money starts trickling in.

7 Mobile Marketing Things to Watch in 2012

As I write this article there are 39 days to go before we usher in the next leap year. The year 2011 has been a tremendous year in mobile marketing. We saw an increase in the use of smart phones, text messages, mobile money transfers and advertising. The number of business people paying a keen attention to mobile marketing saw a sharp rise. In addition, this was the year legendary founder of Apple Steve Jobs passed on. As we prepare to enter 2012, here are seven things mobile marketers can expect.

1. Mobile text messages. According to Portio Research 6.9 trillion SMS were sent in 2010 while this is expected to rise to 8 trillion in 2011. The year 2012 will see consumers showing strong demand for SMS in addition to MMS and mobile instant messages (IM).

2. Mobile smartphones. According to IDC 302 million mobile handsets were shipped in 2010 which represents 21.8% of total mobile shipments. In 2012 the number of smartphones will sharply rise. In addition, smartphones that come to the market will get smarter with more functionality and ease of use.

3. Mobile advertising expenditure. According to Gartner mobile advertising expenditure was $1.6 billion in 2010 and this number is expected to rise to $3.3 billion in 2011. The year 2012 will certainly see a sharp rise in mobile advertising, possibly double the 2011 figure. And as expected Asia will continue to dominate the global ad spending; a whopping 77% of mobile users, according to the International Telecommunication Union, are in this region.

4. Google moves. Google earns in excess of a billion dollars in a year from mobile advertising. It is expected that in 2012 the company will position itself to generate more revenue from this source. Key adjustments are expected in the mobile search results, and localization of mobile searches. Apparently, locally targeted ads constitute 51% of total US ad spending.

5. Mobile money transfers. According to Gartner there will be 141.1 million m-payments with a total value of $86.1 billion in 2011. The year 2012 will see global giants like EBay, Google, PayPal, and Skype enhancing their mobile payment systems. In addition, developing countries where there is a low banking penetration will witness a bigger reliance on mobile payments.

6. Mobile handsets. Mobile subscribers will grow from the current 5.3 billion. We expect the USA to come closer to 100% penetration rate as more people get connected especially in Africa where penetration averages 50%.

7. Facebook access. According to Facebook official page, there are currently 350 million active users that access Facebook on their mobile phones. My prediction is that in the year 2012 this number is expected to rise. In addition, Facebook use is expected to spread to other parts of the developing countries that currently have low mobile penetration.

Final thought...

As the Google CEO, Eric Schmidt said in 2010 the future is mobile. And any marketer, business owner out there who hasn't yet though of mobile marketing should reconsider his position. This mobile marketing wave is not about to stop.

The Concept of Mobile Marketing

Statistically, around the world, there are 4 billion mobile phone users and only 1.08 billion are mobile marketers. Majority, people around the globe doesn't know the concept of Mobile Marketing and how ingenuity has contributed in elevating communications to be faster and more versatile than before. As time crafted our civilization, man discovered to answer necessity through modern inventions and through man's creativity he revolutionized his inventions.

Mobile phone is an example of man's cunning ability in revolutionizing his inventions. From the simplest mobile phone, man introduced smartphones and through technological advancements we could now use it in accessing Internet, checking personal emails, chatting and video conferencing conveniently anytime and in any place. Its accessibility to connect within the internet resulted in an assumption that mobile internets shall take over desktop internet usage by 2014. By using smartphones, we became part of the mobile market or "in mobile".

The concept of mobile marketing is defined by our accessibility by using our smartphones in social networking, viewing the news, local searching, mapping, shopping and more. However, by being "in mobile", we should determine the potentials that technology has crafted within the smartphone and aside of its personal advantages (games, music, entertainment and video) we also should realize its marketability or the concept of mobile marketing. We should first understand why the developers of the smartphones made the possibility for us to connect in the internet and why this is a more convenient tool for communication.

In grasping the meaning of being "in mobile", we should use it as an advantage for business empowerment. In getting mobile, business transactions are no longer static within the premises of an office space. Business will be in motion, scientifically handling time appropriately without wasting a second and doing the entire itinerary anywhere. It increases production in a cost-effective manner cutting down travel time and expenses.

Aside from its mobility, the benefit that it could give every one especially during business transactions is the power to gain access in a complete real-time record of all transaction activity right away without waiting to access your Personal Computer. Monitoring and tracking the movement of any transaction from one system to another is easy and it could be at the palm of your hands in any given day.

The convenience of being "in mobile" is the effect of its aspect for mobility. By being "in mobile", the aspect of accessibility is also given substance. The accessibility of connecting all facets within the internet by using smartphones is also similar by using Personal Computers, however, the difference by being "in mobile" is its nature of being multipurpose.

Generally, if you have a mobile phone it doesn't mean that you're "in mobile" or part of the mobile market. You should first understand if your mobile phone could function entirely within the scope of getting mobile and if yes, you should still grasp its importance and usage, however, if the answer is no, try to acquire a smartphone and you might find it very handy to see the world without moving from one place to another.

5 Tips For Starting a Mobile Marketing Business

Perhaps you have been mulling over the idea of going into mobile marketing. It may be you want to start out as a consultant, content provider, bulk SMS reseller or become a mobile advertiser. The time is now. We have more than 5.3 billion handsets worldwide and opportunities beckoning. Let me give you a few tips free of clutter and complexities.

1. Provide real value.

Your customers expect relevance and valuable communication. Anything that is not beneficial and timely is of little value to recipients. Real value is when you send lunch coupons at 11:30 am instead of 3:30pm. Real value is when you offer to do a free consultation or give away an eBook full of moneymaking strategies.

2. Keep it simple.

You must realize SMS marketing is not a medium for long text communication. If you have big download long correspondence redirect people to a desktop website. Anything that is done through mobile devices needs to be scaled down. This includes mobile websites, websites clicks to the require information and graphics of a site.

3. Give harvesting opt-ins priority.

Opt in is a must have strategy for any business. Opt in is what allows you to send mobile marketing messages to recipients. By signing in they allow you to send them marketing related correspondence. In the absence of an opt in a person has recourse to sue and the fines are enormous. Thus, permission based marketing needs to be given top priority. Equally important is giving opt outs the same relevance and seriousness as opt ins.

4. Offer instant gratification.

Most users are spontaneous. And when you send a campaign that requires people to respond, you will get eager recipients ready to follow your instructions. It is never advisable to do a mobile marketing campaign that has no clear end results.

By the way, most people especially the youth are hyperactive and will to engage you using mobile phones if you are relevant. In the year 2011, over 8 trillion text messages are expected to be sent worldwide. This indicates that doing sms campaigns looks like the best form of offering instant gratification.

5. Make it social.

Mobile campaigns need to be interactive. Why? Because most people use phone to reach close friends, relatives and business associates. A campaign that encourages people to forward messages or one that has a wide appeal is likely to be a runway success. Besides that, it is necessary to tie campaigns to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.

6 Ways To Measure SMS Marketing Success

There is no doubt SMS marketing is one of the best ways to grow a business. Text message open rates are as high as 98% and an average message is read within 4 minutes of receipt. There is also the fact that most people have their phones with them all the time. In addition, compared to other marketing channels, text is relatively cheap. This clearly makes text marketing medium of choice for anyone eager to grow a business.

However, not many marketers can tell the specifics of their last campaign. Why? Most don't know how to measure. And without measuring you can't know what is working and what is not. You can't tell what to drop and what to give more weight. Measuring the campaign metrics is absolutely crucial. Here are some tips...

1. Pr- launch metrics

Before any campaign one must know the purpose and standards of the campaign. Then get the current data available. Set off and determined what you will do with the data that will be collected at the end of the campaign.

2. Subscriber List

A subscriber list is crucial to your survival online. And it is important to know where your subscribers come from. What brings them to you and why. Before the launch of the campaign, you will check and analyze your subscriber base. Then, go ahead and launch the campaign. The following 4 items are the things you will need to measure with accuracy when it is all over.

3. New Subscribers

A campaign is successful if it brings in the desired number of new subscribers. Even more important is to determine their sources. Find out if subscribers are harvested through the campaign or as result of your friend's recommendations. This will greatly help in future campaign and decisions related to SMS marketing.

4. Opt-Outs

Well, opt outs are a sad reality of business. You can't have opt ins without opt outs. However, measure opt outs carefully. Learn why people opt out. This will help you improve you deliverables. In addition, find out how many people opt out immediately after the campaign. A possible indication they could have felt duped.

Other important opt out metrics include, demographics, opt out patterns and the overall growth rate of your campaigns. Incidentally, it is illegal to deny any one an op out or make it unnecessarily difficult. So let them go and thank them for their support.

5. Subscriber action

A subscriber action is not an easy metric to measure but it is important. When you send out a text message, you would be interested to know how people react. For instance, it wouldn't be important to know how many people visit your website, call for more information, forward the text to friends and those that visit the social media sites.

6. Sales

No doubt most campaigns are ultimately aimed at changing the bottom line. SMS marketing metrics that would be of interest are like

· The number of people who bought as a result of the SMS.

· The average sales per SMS?

· People who bought after a visit to a store or website in reaction to the message.

· The return on investment.

15 SMS Marketing Rules You Need to Know

Many marketers have discovered the immense benefits of SMS marketing to build a business. In fact, the Mobile Marketing Association estimates that in the year 2011 there will be 8 trillion text messages sent. As the use of text messages increases, so will the trust level plummet. It is important therefore to send your messages in such manner that you do not get blacklisted by your clients. Here are some surprising rules...

1. Send messages only to those on you opt in list. Anything otherwise is spamming and can land you in trouble.

2. At the point of opt in, state clearly that by signing up they should expect ongoing marketing messages.

3. Have a privacy statement on all your opt-in forms. Tell subscribers that you value privacy and that their telephone numbers will never be sold, rented or abused.

4. Have a double opt-in mechanism, ask your subscriber to re-confirm whether they'd like to receive regular text messages. This reduces future opt outs and guarantees that people know what they have signed for.

5. Tell your subscribers that charges may a levied to receive your text messages where applicable. In some places both the send and receiver of messages are charged. It is important that subscribers know this.

6. Send SMS that meets your customers' interests and needs. It is the only way you stay relevant and in the inner circle of your customer's list.

7. Keep off from overtly informal messages. They sound stiff and at times scary.

8. Avoid phrases that can easily be misconstrued and misinterpreted as racists or sarcastic.

9. Avoid abbreviations that are not commonly used. This will depend on the demographics and area of residence of your clients. Some countries weight is commonly measured in pounds while in others it is kilograms.

10. Follow proper English writing rules. Use proper punctuation, spelling and names. Writing in all CAPS sounds like you are shouting at the recipient.

11. Put your offer at the beginning of the text. Don't go round corners before you tell your clients that you would like them to come to your restaurant this coming Monday. And for that reason you've given them a coupon for $10.

12. Make you offer easy to understand. SMS marketing is about communication. And if your messages are ambiguous, your campaign will fail.

13. If you send out coupons show directions to your store. Do not assume everyone knows where you are found. Your diehard clients may also decide to forward messages to friends who have never heard of you and need to come to your store.

14. Avoid sending messages with graphics or those that are excessively long. If you have something that can't fit in standard text, then send a download link instead.

15. Always include opt-out instructions in every message. And when you receive one, process it promptly and gracefully.

If you follow these SMS marketing rules, you will get trusted and people will look forward to receiving your text messages. A violation of the same may increase your opt out rates and a poor image in the market.

7 Distinct Advantages Of Mobile Marketing

Until recently most people ignored mobile marketing as a business tool. However, the growth in the sector has made some change their perceptions. According to International Telecommunication Union (ITU), there are now about 5.3 billion mobile handsets worldwide. In the year 2011 about 8 trillion text messages are expected to be sent. In addition, there are 3 million mobile websites today. Clearly, this is a sector not many people can any longer brush off.

1. A receptive audience - This form of marketing allows a market that is unique. To start with phone is a rarely shared. Mobile users are normally spontaneous and most read text with 4 minutes. They will respond to your messages if you ask them to and are keen on reading interesting messages.

2. An efficient two- way communication - unlike TV viewers or newspaper readers, mobile users have a chance of replying to SMS marketing campaigns. They can send a message to a short code number and get a response within second. Which makes this form of marketing interactive and more responsive to people's needs.

3. High ROI - Mobile marketing has cost than other forms of marketing. The fact that the average text message has a 98% open rate makes mobile marketing and an SMS costs pennies makes it a high return for of marketing.

4. Quick to implement - You don't need expensive movie shooting, celebrity voices or printing of smart colorful flyers to get started. Just simple SMS writing tactics are enough and you get moving. The beauty is you can get results of your campaign minutes.

5. Can easily be integrated with other media channels - It is easy to integrate this kind of marketing with other media channels like TV, radio, print and email. You can therefore launch multiple campaigns and this gives you the leeway to launch a highly successful marketing campaign.

6. Accurate database - Unlike email addresses or physical addresses that keep changing people generally keep their mobile numbers for a much longer time. This means greater accuracy and success of your campaigns

7. Easy to track - This form of marketing is highly trackable. This is mainly due to the technology and ability for customers to respond directly and instantly. In addition, you can use it to track the effectiveness of other marketing channels like TV or radio by including a direct response call to action via a cell phone number.

5 Mobile Marketing Blunders To Avoid in 2012

Mobile marketing has become an indispensable strategy for entrepreneurs to grow businesses. The Mobile Marketing Association says advertising spending will jump to $5 billion by 2015. Besides that, text usage is growing, with 8 trillion text messages projected to be sent in 2011. These facts together with the growing mobile penetration now standing more than 70% makes use of mobile devices a resource one cannot ignore. Indeed, a number of marketers are making big gains using cell phones as a marketing tool. However, many are losing money because of these five blinders.

1. Ignoring to know the phone types customers have.

The type of phones your clients have is important knowledge that gives you a big marketing head start. Its helps tailor the marketing approach for people with smart phones and those with standard phones. A simple survey can give you this knowledge. In addition, public domain information can help you make intelligent decisions.

2. Failing to understand how people use their phones.

When you know how people use their phones you avoid irritating your clients. For instance, some people like text over voice. Others use their phones to check emails and surf the net. In addition, there are people who don't take calls beyond a certain time in the night. When you go against people's set traditions or preferences, you will annoy them and alienate yourself from them

3. Doing a campaign without a call to action.

Mobile marketing, unlike TV or newspaper marketing give users a chance to be spontaneous. The fact that users have their handset with them most of the time makes it better. Tell people what to do and let your marketing always have a call to action. It is always prudent to send SMS that has clear instructions to users.

4. Postponing creating a mobile version of your website.

A mobile website is important. It gives one a marketing edge; because your site can be read with people with smart phone devices. In addition, mobile searches give priority to local mobile websites. Meaning that your company website will come tops which a big marketing advantage.

5. Giving opt in low priority.

Nothing is as important as a mobile phone list. Your company can only survive in the long run if it is continuously building a mobile list. When people opt in, they give you consent to send them marketing messages. With advertising cost skyrocketing, marketing to your list is the best move one can ever make.
