Parental Mobile Tracking Ensures Cell Phone Safety

Parental Mobile Tracking ensures cell phone safety for busy teens on the go. Parents decide to use this program for a number of different reasons. This software, for instance, gives its users the ability to limit teen cell phone use to certain hours of the day or for certain lengths of time.

Parental Mobile Tracking provides other capabilities. For example, this program allows the user to block calls or text messages from certain senders. In addition, parents can use this program's GPS capability to monitor their child's location at all times. With this software, parents can constantly monitor text messages and call information on phones equipped with this software.

Parental Mobile Tracking prevents teens from too much cell phone usage. The software will let the user know when their teens are using their cell phones instead of doing their homework. The software will also help parents to turn off phones when teens cut themselves off from the rest of the family. Also, teens may be using their phones at school and getting into trouble. This software gives parents the freedom to restrict cell phone usage with the many features of this program.

With this software, the user has a couple of options for curbing cell phone use. The user may utilize the software to restrict certain functions at certain times of day. With the program in use, the entire phone may be blocked, or parents may simply block the calling function while allowing other programs to continue operating.

Parental Mobile Tracking can be used to block certain callers. The software can block calls from bullies, and calls from unsavory people. In addition to using the software to block calls, parents may use another one of the software's features to block text messages from harmful or suspicious people.

With Parental Mobile Tracking, parents can track their child using the software's GPS locator feature. This software will ensure that parents know where their teens are at all times. The program protects teens during those unsupervised outings, and this program helps parents to ensure that their teens are telling the truth about their location.

Parental Mobile Tracking will let parents know when teens send text messages or make inappropriate calls. The software will monitor every text message that is either sent or received on a cell phone that is equipped with it, and it works even if teens delete messages from their phones. Thanks to this software, parents will know quickly if their children are "sexting", or receiving inappropriate text messages on a phone equipped with this software.

Even if parents are out of town visiting family or on a business trip, this program allows them to monitor their children's cell phone activity. Also, parents using Parental Mobile Tracking software have the flexibility to use any device with a web browser to check in on their children by logging in to the software's secure website to view their logs and see just what their children are up to.

Parents cannot prevent teens from using cell phones. However, Parental Mobile Tracking software will give the parents easy-to-use tools that they need to keep teens safe. The software can be used to control the amount of time that teens spend talking on their phones and the software can be used to block suspicious contacts. This software will ensure that teens do not involve themselves in harmful situations that can be prevented.

Parents will love the constant monitoring from Parental Mobile Tracking and the GPS locating ability provided by Parental Mobile Tracking. Parents will know where their teens are and what they are doing with their smart phones that have the software installed on it. For parents, Parental Mobile Tracking provides peace of mind. For teens, Parental Mobile Tracking provides safety and boundaries.

What's New in Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich

Android's latest version, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), has been out just over a month now. Since this version will be available on mobile phones as well as tablets, the market has seen a lot of great devices that are ready to take advantage of the new features that are available in 4.0. Many of these updates are simply upgrades to some of the already existing features in the operating system. This article talks about what these new features are all about.

New Typeface

The old font, "Droid Sans" is out and a new font, "Roboto" is in. Roboto is a typeface designed for the small, high-resolution screens that mobile phone and tablet users have and brings a slick, updated feel to the interface.

Spell-Checker

In ICS, the dictionary and spell-checking have been updated for better error correction and word suggestion. They have tried to improve the identification of double-typed characters, missing spaces and skipped letters. Word suggestion will now only show three words at a time in the suggestion strip. Spell-checker is probably the best improvement in this group since it will now underline misspelled words and suggest replacement words. You can also add words to the dictionary if it is not recognized.

Screenshots

Taking screenshots is often an important feature for some users and now you do not need to tamper with your Android device or install third-party apps in order to take them. You can now take a screenshot by holding down the volume down key and the power button. This will capture the screen and put it in your photos.

Voice Commands

Android 4.0 now has the capability to receive voice commands. You can use the talk-to-text feature to give your phone commands or dictate text messages.

Updated Camera

While previous versions of Android's camera were lacking, there have been some great improvements with 4.0 that were gained with some help from Samsung. The camera was also the area where the most upgrades are happening. ICS devices will now have 1080p video, the shutter lag has been removed, easier photo and video sharing, tap-to-focus, face detection, photo filters, and a photo-stitching panorama mode that allows you to move the camera to take one continuous picture.

Many of these features have been long-awaited by Android fans. There is even various photo editing tools to clean up your pictures and easier ways to share with Google+, text message, Bluetooth, Email and Picasa.

Better Browser

The standard browser is the new Chrome mobile Web browser that syncs bookmarks with other versions of Chrome that you have on your desktop or laptop as well as other mobile/tablet devices. The browser can now save pages for offline reading which is great when you are on the road and unsure of your signal availability. Chrome mobile has been updated greatly for speed and now has the capability to open up to 16 tabs for your multi-tasking pleasure.

Android Bump

Sharing information with other Android devices has become a lot easier with a secure Near Field Communication (NFC) app called Android Bump. Based on the NDEF Push technology, this application will allow two Android devices to share websites, maps, contacts, applications and play games together.

Copy and Paste

Copy and paste functionality got a re-vamp and is much easier to use. You can now move around whole blocks of text.

This update only shows how committed Google is to making Android the top mobile operating system. As you can see, there are many great new features in Ice Cream Sandwich that make it a top contender in the mobile and tablet market. This also shows that we can expect many more great new things from Android in the future.

Smart phone power consumption cut by more than 70 percent

ScienceDaily (Nov. 25, 2011) — Researchers at Aalto University in Finland have designed a network proxy that can cut the power consumption of 3G smart phones up to 74 percent. This device enhances performance and significantly reduces power usage by serving as a middleman for mobile devices to connect to the Internet and handling the majority of the data transfer for the smart phone. Historically, the high energy requirements of mobile phones have slowed the adoption of mobile Internet services in developing countries.

-- This new solution is particularly valuable in developing countries because it provides significantly more effective Internet access to a much larger number of people. At the moment, only a small percent can access the Internet from a wired connection, but 90 percent of the African population lives in areas with mobile phone network coverage. Mobile phone usage is increasing rapidly, however the use of mobile Internet services is hindered by users not having access to the power grid to recharge their phones," says Professor Jukka Manner from Aalto University.

The case study conducted at Aalto University examined Internet usage in three East African countries: Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. Researchers developed energy-saving solutions for smart phones that could be easily deployed across a mobile network and in particular in areas without reliable sources of electricity. In addition to the new, optimized proxy solution, the researchers found that the power consumption of smart phones could also be significantly reduced by mobile optimized websites, HTTP compression and more efficient use of data caching.

The study was published at the scientific conference Africomm 2011. The research began in the Future Internet research program of TIVIT and funded by Tekes -- the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. The work has been continued in the ECEWA project funded by Tekes, with partners from European Communications Engineering Ltd, Efore Plc, Ericsson, Aalto University and Tampere University of Technology.

How Many Cell Phones Are There in the US and the World?

There are like a billion of cellphones in the world as there are around 8 billion total population globally speaking. You can see cellphones everywhere. Cellphones are manufactured, displayed and sold in stores, and used by people. Cellphones are no longer a luxury but a necessity. That is why people can have as many cellphones with them. There are those who prefer to have one cellphone alone especially those who can't afford to buy an extra unit but just resort to phone recycling. Sometimes, those who have extra and old units rather look for booths that offer cash for phones. As for my experience, I used to have 2 cellphones and I sometimes sell my cell too, especially during times when I have nothing to grab in my pocket yet I want to buy something I badly like.

Based on statistics, the number of mobile phone users in the US alone has reached to over 303 Million and 4.6 Billion worldwide - and approximately more than 1,000 new subscribers added every minute. The survey of wireless carriers revealed that 96% of Americans are mobile subscribers and continues to grow and is expected to increase to five billion this year. The increase of mobile phone industry is due to people dropping their house phones and shifted to mobile for it is more convenient that you can carry it with you and sometimes cheaper than fixed house phones.

The spread of mobile phones has aided millions of Americans and billions of people around the world in a modern age of convenience. On average, one person in the US buys mobile phone once in every 18 months, every 15 months in Europe and every 13 months in Asia. The mobile survey revealed that more than 257 million "data-capable" phones are active on most wireless provider in the US and roughly 50 million of those are smartphones.

Mobile growth is fueled by demand developing countries - the most populous nations have the most mobile subscriptions are led by China and India. In the same time, these countries contributed over 300 million new mobile users which is more than the total number of mobile users in the US. However, AT&T Mobility CEO and current CTIA chairman Ralph de la Vega stated that US still tops globally in different categories, including 3G users, number of smartphones activated and number of mobile applications purchased.

National Bureau of Statistics of China survey released in February 2011shows China has a total of 859 million subscribers or 64% of the population. 47 million of these users own 3G mobile phones. Telecom subscription data by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India released in July 2011 states that India now has over 840 million subscribers or 70% of the total population.

Mobile annual average growth worldwide is up at 22% over the same time last year, according to surveys. It shows that even in the face of global economic recession, wireless industry continues to grow. International Data Corporation believes that mobile phone market around the world will be driven by smartphones through the end of 2014.

Richard Xrystiann Fernandez is a writer and writes a lot about his passion. He has written a number of articles about sell my cell, phone recycling and cash for phones.

Emerging new properties at oxide interfaces

ScienceDaily (Nov. 25, 2011) — Dr. Ariando of the National University of Singapore discovered a collective electronic state not seen before in the bulk of either two individual insulating oxides, thus demonstrating that electrons at their interface can now exhibit ferromagnetism.

In many ionic materials, including the oxides, surfaces created along specific directions can become electrically charged. By the same token, such electronic charging, or 'polarisation', can also occur at the interface of two connecting materials.

Theoretically, this could lead to the build-up of an ever increasing voltage in the materials in certain systems, a situation known as a 'polarity catastrophe'. Certainly this cannot occur in practical systems, for energy sake, and Nature deals with this situation by reconstructing the electronic configuration of the interface via a shifting of charges across the interface, or by structural reconstructions, namely, the displacement of atoms.

With oxide materials, a unique consequence of these reconstructions is that it provides a means to create novel electronic phases, stabilised by the interface, and which cannot exist in the bulk.

Dr. Ariando from the National University of Singapore's (NUS) Department of Physics and NUS Nanoscience and Nanotechnology-NanoCore, along with his co-workers, showed that at this interface, a remarkable combination of strong diamagnetism (superconductor like), paramagnetism and ferromagnetism can co-exist with the quasi two-dimensional electron gas when prepared under a more oxidising condition.

Past studies had shown that two-dimensional conducting planes, in the form of quasi two-dimensional electron gas, could emerge between otherwise non-magnetic insulating oxide, Lanthanum Alumniate (LaAlO3) and Strontium Titanate (SrTiO3).

Interestingly, Dr. Ariando's team had also shown that the ferromagnetic phase was stable even above room temperature and the diamagnetism below a relatively high temperature of 60 K.

Industrial applications

The results also indicate that the free surface of SrTiO3 could well be responsible for all these fascinating phenomena. The SrTiO3 resembles Silicon. This will have a significant impact on industry since Silicon has been used in semiconductor technology -- silicon has been the workhorse for oxide-based devices and electronics.

These multiple electronic and magnetic phases at oxide interfaces could yield interesting technological applications. That a variety of magnetic states can be produced close to the surface (< 10 nm) by changing the external stimulus to the SrTiO3 or the interface of LaAlO3/SrTiO3, be it change in oxygen pressure or magnetic field, thus proves that this is a very active interface, and that it can yield strong responses to external stimuli.

One could well consider building novel sensors out of these interfaces that could be used as, say, oxygen sensors, or even magnetic sensors. Still, where these applications are concerned, there is a need to further understand these phenomena and optimise the device configuration.

The research of Dr. Ariando and his co-workers in the oxide interface field is reminiscent of the times when two-dimensional electron gas in the semiconductor heterostructures first became available, and the quantum Hall effect and fractional quantum Hall effect were discovered, both resulting in Nobel prizes.

The physics of the oxide material systems is however richer, involving much stronger interaction between the electrons, mutually and within the crystal lattice. There is great interest in exploring these interfaces in the quest for new nano-electronic devices.

The iPhone 4S Versus The BlackBerry 9900 - Which Is Better?

The market has been engrossed with the release of BlackBerry phones, but with the recent launch of the Apple iPhone 4s, which of the two smartphones will the market prefer? Stating the features of each smart phone will determine which will appeal most to the crowd.

The BlackBerry 9900 already has an advantage over iPhone 4s because of its QWERTY keypad. Though equipped with this keypad, the BlackBerry 9900 also included a touch screen feature in their 2.8-inch screen that displays multimedia graphics in a 640x480 frame. This feature may be a turn-off to the crowd because of the small screen and low graphic pixel now that iPhone 4s has the Retina Display which offers its users a full HD view of the graphics in 960x480 pixels.

The iPhone's processor is in theory more superior than that of the BlackBerry but even with a dual-core A5 chip, 1GHz processor, and 512MB RAM, the BlackBerry still runs faster. Though the latter doesn't have a dual-core A5 chip, it runs faster because of its 1.2GHz processor and 768MB RAM. It has not yet been tested which of the two performs better because of its leveling race to being the best. In terms of memory storage, the iPhone 4s offers three varieties: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The BlackBerry, on the other hand, can handle 8GB worth of media files in its internal memory but can still be enhanced when slotted with a 32GB microSD card.

When it comes to the number of networks supported, the iPhone has the advantage because it handles both CDMA and GSM support. The BlackBerry 9900 is only an improved version of BlackBerry Bold which only supports GSM networks but the BlackBerry 9930 is the one which handles CDMA networks out of the three BlackBerry smartphones. However, both the iPhone 4s and BlackBerry 9900 possess an HSPA receiver that lets its users utilize a 14.4MBPS downlink. Both also have the Bluetooth function but when it comes to Wi-Fi connectivity, it is only attainable through the iPhone. The iPhone's version of Bluetooth is a specialized type v4.0 receiver while the BlackBerry 9900 has the common v2.1.

The latest version of the iPhone boasts an iOS 5 (operating system) update and it can handle more applications like Twitter integration, iMessages, iReminder, Notification Center, and photo-editing applications. In fact, both the BlackBerry 9900 and iPhone 4s can have the iOS 5 update. However, the advantage of iPhone 4s over BlackBerry 9900 when it comes to hardware is its Siri, the voice recognition personal assistant.

What the BlackBerry 9900 can boast is its BlackBerry Operating System 7 which enables the phone to have a touchscreen feature, the BlackBerry browser, the BlackBerry Messenger 6, Liquid Graphics, and applications support for the BlackBerry App World storefront. If you want more secure Internet browsing, using the BlackBerry is more advisable because of its BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS).

The iPhone 4s's price has been revealed recently as $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB. With the BlackBerry 9900 price at $349.99, there is a price difference between the two mobile phone products of at least 16%.

Since the two models have been released the most popular have been the iPhone 4S White and the BlackBerry Bold 9900.

Apple iPhone 4S 16GB in Black Currently Cheaper Than iPhone 4S White Edition

It is a well known fact that the demand for the latest iPhone 4S has well outstripped supply in many countries with over one million handsets sold in the first 24 hours of its release and a further 3 million over the next 48 hours.

This now seem to be effecting the prices and deals on offer for the iPhone 4S 16GB in both its black and white colour schemes as different retailers and networks have varying stock levels of each model, this is best reflected in the latest news that the black edition iPhone 4S is currently has cheaper deals than those for the iPhone 4S in white.

Although there is not a massive amount between the overall costs of the two colour schemes at £20 over the minimum term contract of 24 months the deals themselves are very different and offer significantly different volumes of inclusive data, minutes and text.

The current cheapest deal for the iPhone 4S in black is offered on the Orange network at £25 per month on a tariff called 'Orange iPhone 25', this deal includes 250MB of internet usage, 75 minutes of calls and 125 text messages to use every month and demands an upfront cost of £169.99 for the black iPhone 4S phone.

This equates to £769.99 over the minimum term contract period and as we mentioned the best deal for the iPhone 4S in white is £20 more at £789.99, however the tariff that the white edition is available on is a £20 per month package which only includes 100MB of inclusive data, 50 minutes of calls and 50 text messages with an upfront cost of £309.99 for the phone.

As you can see from comparing these two iPhone 4S deals the black edition certainly offers far more minutes, text and data than the deal for the iPhone 4S in white meaning those consumers opting for the lighter coloured handset are not getting as good value for money.

That said, neither of these deal are really well suited to the average smart phone user, this is proven by the best-selling deal for both colour schemes being offered by the 3 Mobile network, this includes a free iPhone 4S in either colour, 500 minutes of calls, 5000 text messages and a very generous 1GB of internet access every month for just £35 per month.

In conclusion, whether opting for the white or the black edition of the new iPhone 4S consumers should always try to match their usage requirements or expect to end up paying far more for exceeding their monthly limits.

Bold 9900 Vs 9930 - Difference and Similarities

Among the many BlackBerry handsets that are available on the market these days, the BlackBerry Bold is in a league of its own and those who love using a BlackBerry cannot help but want to get their hands on the all new BlackBerry Bold. The BlackBerry Bold has many sub models which are well-known among the BlackBerry user's community and these are the Bold 9900 and the Bold 9930 which are the two best-selling models in this category because they have the touch screen facility. RIM launched the Bold 9900 and 9930 models in August 2011 and since then these two handsets have sold so much better than all the other BlackBerry models.

The Bold 9900 vs. The 9930

Comparing both these models isn't easy because they both interestingly carry the same features, but if this is the case, then why does RIM have two different models with same features? Well, we will discuss it later on, but before we do, let us have a look at some of the basic common features of both models.

Here is a list of common features of the Bold 9900 and the 9930.

· Dual band Wi-Fi

· Bluetooth

· 1.2 GHz Processor

· GPS

· 5 Mega-pixel camera

· Touch screen

· QWERTY keyboard

This is a limited list of some of the features of both the models which are pretty common in all the Bold series handsets. As well as the above features, the hardware and software specs are exactly the same in both the models except for one difference.

Now let's have a look at the real difference between both the models. These models operate on different bands. The Bold 9900 operates on a simple GSM network as most of their handsets usually do; however, the Bold 9900 from T-Mobile operates on T-Mobile's 4G network giving it an edge over Sprint and Verizon's 9930 that operate on the 3G Network. Verizon's network in particular has more consistent coverage; hence, there is a trade-off of having a less consistent and faster 4G T-Mobile network or the more consistent Verizon 3G network. When comparing the models, I opened web pages at the same time in the New York region on the 9900 from T-Mobile on 4G and the 9930 from Verizon on 3G, and I found the speed to be very similar. The 9900 was marginally faster, however, but not by enough to offset the sometimes inconsistent T-Mobile coverage in New York. As a result, I would recommend the 9930 from Verizon and as a second option the 9900 from T-Mobile. Sprint's 9930 is a reliable option though does not have an impressive browsing speed. In last place is AT&T's 9900, due to AT&T's spotty network coverage which is prone to dropping calls, plus it comes at the highest price.

The Bold 9930 operates on both GSM and CDMA networks so you can switch the networks from CDMA to GSM and vice versa. It also supports the CDMA 800/1900 networks and the GSM 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 networks.

It can therefore be said that the Bold 9930 is the better among the two as it supports both GSM and CDMA while the Bold 9900 only supports the GSM network. However, CDMA is not very commonly used while the GSM network is extensively used around the globe. So if you are in a mood to buy the Bold 9900 or the Bold 9930, do keep their features and network options in mind.

Where you can buy the Bold 9900 or 9930

It's wise to buy 9900 handsets from T-Mobile, or 9930 from Verizon. These operators own their own networks (For instance T-Mobile has its own network running at 1900 MHz), you can however experience top class downloading and uploading speeds from both these networks. Among different US cellular companies, T-Mobile and Verizon are the best networks with the quickest browsing speed and wide network coverage all over the US. Don't miss the chance to grab your favorite BlackBerry Bold 9900 or Bold 9930!

Android 101: Tips On How To Use Your Android Phone

That Android operating system on your phone can carry out numerous tasks but it's important to know where to start. Unlike iPhone's cut-and-dried IU, the Android OS affords you ample space to organize and customize. Here's a guide to getting the most out of your Android phone's many included features.

The Desktop

Android's desktop differs slightly compared to other smartphone platforms. With android you command a lot of freedom to customize your Android desktop-and without any limitations to four simple rows of flawlessly aligned square icons. Hence, Android lets you customize your desktop to mirror your likes, including making it as full and dynamic as you'd want it to be.

The Android desktop runs multiple homescreen panels. Although if your handset has a particular overlay such as MotoBlur, or rather a different version of Android, you could have 5-7 home-screen panels.

The first time you power up your phone, what you see is the main homescreen panel. The panel is normally centered, plus you can access extra panels on any side of the main panel through dragging your finger either left or right. You can customize the homescreen according to your preferences. You can make use of the available space with any combination of shortcuts, folders and widgets.

Of course, short-cuts are tiny icons that allow you load apps including other functions on your android phone; they work the same as the ones you'd see on a computer desktop. These shortcut options could do anything (according to your preference settings) from opening a program to connecting to a particular Web page or even initiating a phone call.

To create a shortcut, long press your finger on any open space on your handset's home screen, and choose Shortcuts from the resulting turn-up menu. This is where you should select Applications, for example (to add an app), Direct message or Direct dial (creating a shortcut for texting or calling a friend), Bookmark (to connect to a Web page), and Directions (to activate navigation to a particular destination).

Widgets include dynamic programs that carry out activities right on your homescreen. They carry out various functions-including giving you the latest weather forecast, or letting you play music from your personal stored collection or streaming from the Internet. If you want to accommodate more, you can download extra widgets available on the Android Market.

To add a widget, press and hold your finger on an open space, similar to creating shortcut (above). Although, this time, choose the Widgets option availed from the pop-up menu. Whether you've downloaded anything or not from the Android Market, of course there must be a handful of options included in your phone. Begin by including the Power Control widget; it forms a lovely one-touch toggle management system for you android phone's Bluetooth, WI-Fi, GPS, screen brightness, and data syncing.

Notifications

Android's notification panel places real-time incoming information at your fingertips, regardless which activity you may be undertaking at the moment. Notifications come from different places: voicemail, text messaging, e-mail, social network notifications and news apps. As soon as you receive a new notification, an icon will emerge at the top-left of your phone's screen. Dragging down the panel you'll be able to see detailed information on the notification received.

Try out settings of various apps on your Android phone to see what sort of notifications they provide, and then customize them according to your needs.

The White Edition of the iPhone 4S Lands on O2 Deals

The black edition of the new iPhone 4S was released yesterday on O2 deals for the first time since its initial launch back in October of this year and now the white model has also now been made available on O2 with exactly the same deals.

This may not sound like ground-breaking news but up until now both of these colour schemes of the iPhone 4S were only available to existing customers already on the O2 network as an upgrade to their existing handset.

Because of initial stock shortages that have effected all suppliers of the new iPhone 4S, O2 took the unique decision to only sell the phone to its own loyal customer base rather than deplete stocks by allowing everyone to own the phone on their network.

This has obviously upset many consumers who are currently on a rival network but wanting the iPhone 4S on O2, this has all now changed although it is not the network itself that has made these iPhone 4S deals available but an independent retailer.

Consumers can now connect either the black or white edition of the iPhone 4S to a large selection of O2 deals which start with line rental costs of just £21.50 per month and an upfront price for the phone of £299.99, this is currently the cheapest deal available for the phone on O2 with an overall expenditure of £815.99 over the minimum contract period of 24 months.

There are also now deals available on O2 that offer a free phone, however these start at £47 per month which means spending an extra £312.01 over the 24 months, that said customers do get plenty more inclusive minutes and text for their money.

The cheapest deal only includes 100 minutes of calls and 500 text messages with a monthly data allocation of 500MB whilst the more expensive deal that includes a free iPhone 4S provides 1200 minutes and unlimited text messaging with the same 500MB of internet access.

Consumers can add 'Bolt Ons' to both of these deals to boost up the data allocation with an extra 500MB on offer for those that use their phone for data hungry activities such as watching streaming media like video clips or downloading lots of content such as music and games.

Now that the iPhone 4S 16GB is available in both black and white colour schemes on O2 it is widely expected that the larger memory editions will also follow suit, this means that both the 32GB and 64GB iPhone 4S models should be available soon in both colour schemes.

If you would like to see the new iPhone 4S White deals on O2 or take a look at the black edition iPhone 4S deals then please feel free to head over to our website: Phones Limited.

Mobile - A Boon or A Bane?

Technology is one of the best wonders in our lives. We are living in the world of changing technology. As days are passing by the technology is developing and growing at an alarming rate. And we need to get accompanied with this changing technology. As it makes our lives faster, easier and saves our valuable time. One of the best gifts by technology is telecommunication, and that too wire free telecommunication. Yes, I'm talking about the very commonly and largely used telecommunication device called mobile.

One of the most common word & communicative electronic device that most of us have heard & seen is, 'Mobile Phone / Mobile / Cell Phone / Hand Phone, used for voice, text & data communication. Can be easily carried in our pockets to any corner of the world, easy to use, not only but also communication can take place anywhere in the Universe with the help of this wonder gadget. In the modern era, this is commonly observed with youngsters. It has become a part of living for most of us.

Everything has its own advantage(s) and disadvantage(s). Scientists invent or discover things for a good reason. But, as time passes by people start utilizing it in negative ways. Then it turns out to be a disadvantage instead of an advantage. Similarly mobile has many advantages than disadvantages. If we start using it for good reasons, then there would be lest disadvantage(s).

As in it help us to communicate with any one from anywhere wirelessly. We can carry this device anywhere very easily due to its light weight; it is easy to use & cost effective too. We can do text messaging from this device, which is not possible from a telephone. Not only this but also, we can send pictures, videos, shoot pictures and videos and surf internet via mobile. It can also be used for entertainment purpose, as we can listen to songs and radio, watch videos etc.

It turns out to be disadvantage when people try to use it for spreading vulgar, or try to use it for monkey business, or try to cause privacy problems and so on. Symptoms caused by the radiation of mobile phones are one of the most argued problems. Many scientists believe that the radiation from the mobile phones may cause the users to have different symptoms such as headache, earaches, blurring of vision and even causing cancer. Though, these problems can be reduced. If we reduce the usage of mobile phones if it is possible.

Because of the developing technology in the field of telecommunication there has been ample of job opportunities throughout the globe. As many companies are spreading their telecommunication business making doors open for jobs in various segments. Thus, due to some people and few incidents we cannot say the device is of disadvantage or it has more disadvantages in comparison to its advantages. I believe each one of us should think from a positive aspect and take what is good. Also make use of technology for a better life and not to create nuisance.

The Top 5 Android Apps

Everyone is always after the 5 Top Android Apps. There are vexed birds, hi-tech video players and even an air guitar app to make you think that people think that you're cool. Well, you're not! Instead of wasting time trying to learn stairway to heaven on a smartphone or downloading a video game that puts you in the driver's seat of a zombie hunter, why don't you fill some of that valuable memory space on some Android apps that will actually do some good!

Here are the Top 5 Android Apps to make everyone's life a little easier to deal with.

1. Pandora Internet Radio: Yes, I'm going with this one first-don't be shocked. Limited commercials, fully-customizable channels by artist and genre, and never ending rocking tunes! This simple app can save you frayed nerves in long car rides and long dentist office waits. Not to mention that you can hook your phone up to humongous speakers and rock out around the house as well!

2. Fooducate: Ths app has over 250,000 stored UPCs in its database. Here's how it works: You walk through a grocery store trying to find something healthy to feed the family. The nutritional panel on the back is full of ancient, Sumerian writing and is more confusing than a codex from the Davinci Code. What do you do? You scan the UPC and Fooducate tells you precise, easy to understand nutritional information.

3. Shazam: You can be the cool guy or girl who can always tell you what song your hearing but can never quite remember the name of. Shazam will recognize the song and even give you an opportunity to purchase the song through Amazon MP3. Hey, and tag the song where you heard for nostalgia!

4. Yahoo! Mail: Again, keeping it simple. Do you have multiple email accounts or just one important one? Having Yahoo! mail at your fingertips is more convenient than you know. Get all of your important messages from friends, family and customers right away! This is a huge plus for freelancers of all types!

5. Google Maps: Never get lost again. Use Google Maps to get you out of any bad neighborhood or to help you find some local Italian food. This is a staple of all smartphones. It's why we have them in the first place; necessary knowledge and reference within immediate reach.

As you can see, there's no reason to get out of the ordinary with your Android app selections. Of course, we'll all have our preferences but having these basic apps will make your life a lot easier.

Jailbreaking Your iPhone

Do you own an iPhone or any other iOS devices such as the iPad and iPod Touch? Sure, you can use those devices right out of the box, but you're severely limited because of Apple's restrictive business model. If you want to get the most out of your iPhone, you can jailbreak it or purchase one that's been jailbroken. Don't worry -- jailbreaking your phone is legal according to the US Copyright Office and federal regulators.

Why would you want to jailbreak your phone in the first place? The most common purpose is to allow you to install applications of your own choosing on the iPhone. However, people often confuse jailbreaking with unlocking. Unlocking is simply making it so a phone can be used with the carrier of your own choosing. You need to be aware that jailbreaking your iPhone may limit the services you're eligible to receive from Apple and will void your Apple iPhone warranty. Many people will tell you that an iPhone that hasn't been jailbroken isn't worth using because it lacks the full functionality you'd expect from a cellphone.

Popular Uses of Jailbroken iPhones

If you want to do high-quality video recordings, you will be able to run one of the better applications for video recording on your iPhone if it's jailbroken. For instance, Cycorder App is one of the many good video recording applications available for jailbroken iPhones. Then there's the iPhone Video Recorder which lets you upload videos directly to YouTube. Want to stream live videos on your phone? There's FlixWagon and Qik.

Modem functions are another popular use of jailbroken iPhones. Many people enjoy tethering their phones to their laptops for wireless broadband. If you are on an unlimited data plan, any tethering software will do. If you've got a limited amount of monthly data available, you will want to use tethering software that keeps track of data usage.

Find a Tutorial and Start the Process

Different versions of the iPhone will require slightly different jailbreaking procedures. Do an online search for your iPhone and software version. Understand that there are risks involved before you begin the process. If you succeed, iPhone jailbreaking will be a very worthwhile experience for you.

iPhone Repair: How Can You Avoid A Disaster?

How good is the insurance you may have with your iPhone?

It may be very good. However, in 99% of cases, the insurance will not cover broken screen-glass which is the most common repair needed. If you find yourself with a broken glass, and now you're using your iPhone through the cracks, and you have just been quoted an almost obscene price to repair it, please stop, take a deep breath and consider some options.

1. You can simply pay the price being asked by the manufacturer.

If you take this route, you will be paying an amount of money roughly equal to the value of your used phone, in many cases. A better option may be to simply buy a used iPhone from someone who deals in used phones. Be sure to get a warranty covering parts and labor of at least 10 days, if you do this.

How will find a used iPhone? Your best bet is to search Craigslist. It may be tempting to buy from an individual. If you do, meet them in a very public place with good lighting, such as in front of a police station. A safer option may be to find a reputable iPhone repair shop which has a used iPhone for sale. A real shop will offer a real warranty including parts and labor for a period of at least 10 days, and up to 90 days.

How will you know the shop is reputable? Google the shop. Check Yelp and Yahoo. Ask the shop for 3 references. You should find over-whelming positive results. If you come across a negative review or two, remember, no one is perfect (provided there are a lot of positive reviews with the negatives). Once you find the right shop, they should give you a credit for your old phone.

2. You can fix it yourself.

How? You'll find instructional videos online. Please be very careful. In many cases, the person who made the video of the repair would like to sell you the parts for a lot more than they are worth. For example, the glass for the 3G and 3GS is less than $5 at true wholesale prices. Should you pay $25 or $35 for the same part, probably not. In the case of the iPhone 4, some people are selling the glass alone. They don't tell you the glass (which is the digitizer) is normally bonded to the LCD. Even if you can get the broken glass off your LCD, you cannot make a proper repair. The only way is by buying the iPhone 4 or 4S digitizer and LCD as one unit.

Very few people are able to repair the iPhone 4 after watching a video. New technicians learn while being watched by an experienced technician for eight weeks. The iPhone 4 interior is packed with delicate connectors. Make one wrong move and you no longer have a phone - you'll have a paper weight because it is so easy to damage the mother board, which is the heart of the phone. There are 18 screws to remove. Each must go back in the right place. If one screw is placed wrong, the phone won't work. The 3G and the 3GS models are easier, but you can still destroy your iPhone with one false move.

3. You can probably find a local or mail-away independent repair person or shop.

If you take the precautions mentioned earlier, chances are good you'll find a reputable person who is interested in your repeat and referral business. Be bold. Ask questions like, how many repairs have you done? Go to the shop. If, upon seeing the shop in person and talking in person, you get cold feet, run. Your intuition is probably right. The consequences of letting the wrong person into your phone are too big.

If there is not a real and reliable shop close to you, consider mailing your iPhone to a reliable shop for repair. Be sure to use a shop who's mail service is predictable, fast, affordable, and guaranteed. How long will you have to be without your phone? The shop you select should be able to guarantee your repaired phone to be back in your hands in five days from the day you put it in the mail, provided the shop is in the same state, and they should guarantee this by using first class mail. Watch out for large fees for fast shipping.

Is it worth it to be careful?

You know it is. Your phone is so much more than just a phone these days. It is worth the time it takes to send your iPhone to the right place. Be aware of games. Some shops may appear to have a low labor price while charging too much for parts. Another may seem to have a low total price, only to overcharge for shipping.

What should you do next?

If you have specific questions, you can email it through our http://www.freehelpfast.com/ website. It is our pleasure to give you our professional opinion at no charge or obligation of any kind. Have You Washed Your Phones Lately?

The thing that you held really close to your mouth and ear may be the one that will make you sick. A research made by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine which collaborates with Queen Mary, University of London found out that 1 out of 6 mobile phones is infected by E. coli. Escherichia coli or E. coli is a bacterium that may cause diseases like food poisoning, pneumonia, urinary tract infections and gastroenteritis.

This research was conducted by taking 400 samples from cell phones in 12 English cities and the result is truly terrifying. Even though 400 samples may be a little bit too low to represent all mobile phone users in the world, the result is really accurate. By saying that, this means that some traces of your own faeces may be present on your mobile phones. However, it must be pointed out here that most E. coli bacteria is not harmful to the body. Only a small type of E. coli bacteria is responsible for all the bad diseases.

Therefore, you must be more careful on where you put your mobile phones. Make sure that your mobile phones are covered with tissues if you ever need to put it around the toilet. Putting your phones on the toilet cover will be a no-no even though they look clean. Who knows how many millions E. coli bacteria are living on top of that toilet cover.

Washing your hand phones may not be practical but at least wash your hands after using the toilet. You may wash your hands using water only but it would be extra clean if it is accompanies with a soap. After the research made, the researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine came out with more reliable techniques to make sure that you come out of the toilet clean.

One of them will be using RFID tags to observe the condition of the bathroom. These RFID tags will help remind you whenever you forgot to wash your hands after using the toilet. This is still a basic thing that can be accomplished by the RFID tags. Further development of the RFID tags will include on tracking the cleanliness of your hands and detect any bad bacteria that are lingering on your skin. However, this technology will not be available in the meantime. For now, just make sure that you kept your mobile phones inside your pocket while you are in the toilet.

HTC Sensation Contract Deals Launched by Tesco Mobile

The original edition of the HTC Sensation has now been available on the market for over 6 months and has since been joined by two new models in the range; the HTC Sensation XE and XL smart phones.

Since its release the HTC Sensation has had contract deals available from all of the leading mobile phone networks including O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange and 3 Mobile as well as the virtual network; Talk Mobile and now a seventh operator has finally released pay monthly offers for this popular Android phone.

Tesco Mobile are another virtual operator who use a main network for their signal but offer in-house customer services, although there are a number of contract tariffs supplied by the network they have only currently released one deal today for the HTC Sensation.

They are expected to release the rest of their contract deals for this phone very soon but for now the offer they have available is good value for money and available on the 'Tesco Mobile 750 tariff', this costs £25 line rental per month and provides the phone free in the package.

Also included in this Tesco Mobile deal are 750 minutes of calls which the user can make to any mobile network at any time, 5000 text messages and a generous 500MB of allocated monthly data which the HTC Sensation will make good use of, for heavier internet users this inclusive data can be doubled to a large 1GB allocation per month by simply paying an extra £2.50.

For those that like to watch online videos, download films and large files or stream services such as music and radio the extra 500MB of data could prove to be a real money saver, although the average UK monthly usage of data is currently around 300MB these previously mentioned activities are all heavy on data usage.

If the consumer is simply using their Sensation smart phone for web browsing, checking emails and social networking then the 500MB should be more than enough.

What does the HTC Sensation offer in terms of features?

Even though the phone has been superseded by the new HTC Sensation XE with a faster processor and the HTC Sensation XL with a larger screen this original model still competes with many rival, best-selling smart phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4.

Offering a large 4.3 inch SLCD touch screen with a vivid display, a fast 1.2GHz processor, expandable memory, an 8 mega pixel camera which can record full HD quality 1080p video clips, the latest Android 2.3 operating system with access to the Android Market and the HTC Sense user interface the Sensation is a very desirable, fast and sleek phone.

This latest release on the Tesco Mobile network is the last launch of the phone on UK networks, the phone is also now available on Pay As You Go deals as well as available as a SIM free and unlocked handset with no network locks or branding for those that prefer not to take out contract deals.

If you would like to see the latest HTC Sensation deals or check out the new HTC Sensation XL then please feel free to browse our website: Phones Limited.

HTC Sensation XE Deals on O2

The new HTC Sensation XE has now been released in the UK on the full range of O2 pay monthly contract deals which allow for consumers to order this latest Sensation smart phone from HTC without having to pay any upfront costs.

O2 tariffs start at just £10.50 line rental per month and although the lower charge packages do require an upfront payment for the phone can still work out more cost-effective over their minimum term contract period, however many consumer look for deals that include the phone free of charge and O2 provides this at only £21.50 per month.

This is one of the lowest tariffs currently available from any of the UK network operators that provides a free HTC Sensation XE phone, the tariff is called 'O2 100' and it includes 100 minutes of calls that can be used to call any network at any time.

Also included are 500 text messages for those that like to send SMS to their friends and family and a generous 500MB of data which provides for internet access, email, downloading new applications and updating of many of the phones features.

The HTC Sensation XE is an Android phone which means that it heavily relies on an internet connection for updating things like news, weather and applications, this can be performed either via Wi-Fi or when this is not available via a 3G connection which is why the inclusive data that O2 offers is so important.

The user can also add extra data to their O2 tariff with 'Bolt Ons', these extra packages offer up to 1GB of inclusive internet access every month for an extra £10 fee, this particular tariff already has a 500MB 'Bolt On' included so an extra 500MB would cost just £4 extra.

Aside from the data 'Bolt On' there are also a selection of other services that can also be added to the users account with their HTC Sensation XE, these include extra MMS, 'Data Abroad', Insurance, Calls to Abroad and Calls back to the UK.

Further to this, O2 categorises their customers based on their monthly expenditure and then offers them 'O2 Rewards', this means that they always give anything they offer to new customers to their existing customers as well as letting bigger spend customers upgrade early and receive handset discounts when upgrading.

The HTC Sensation XE is available across a number of the UK networks, these currently include Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and 3 Mobile as well as now being offered as a Pay As You Go and SIM free phone.

If you are looking for the very latest HTC Sensation XE deals or even the new iPhone 4S deals as they are launched then please feel free to have a look at our website.

7 Mobile Marketing Things to Watch in 2012

As I write this article there are 39 days to go before we usher in the next leap year. The year 2011 has been a tremendous year in mobile marketing. We saw an increase in the use of smart phones, text messages, mobile money transfers and advertising. The number of business people paying a keen attention to mobile marketing saw a sharp rise. In addition, this was the year legendary founder of Apple Steve Jobs passed on. As we prepare to enter 2012, here are seven things mobile marketers can expect.

1. Mobile text messages. According to Portio Research 6.9 trillion SMS were sent in 2010 while this is expected to rise to 8 trillion in 2011. The year 2012 will see consumers showing strong demand for SMS in addition to MMS and mobile instant messages (IM).

2. Mobile smartphones. According to IDC 302 million mobile handsets were shipped in 2010 which represents 21.8% of total mobile shipments. In 2012 the number of smartphones will sharply rise. In addition, smartphones that come to the market will get smarter with more functionality and ease of use.

3. Mobile advertising expenditure. According to Gartner mobile advertising expenditure was $1.6 billion in 2010 and this number is expected to rise to $3.3 billion in 2011. The year 2012 will certainly see a sharp rise in mobile advertising, possibly double the 2011 figure. And as expected Asia will continue to dominate the global ad spending; a whopping 77% of mobile users, according to the International Telecommunication Union, are in this region.

4. Google moves. Google earns in excess of a billion dollars in a year from mobile advertising. It is expected that in 2012 the company will position itself to generate more revenue from this source. Key adjustments are expected in the mobile search results, and localization of mobile searches. Apparently, locally targeted ads constitute 51% of total US ad spending.

5. Mobile money transfers. According to Gartner there will be 141.1 million m-payments with a total value of $86.1 billion in 2011. The year 2012 will see global giants like EBay, Google, PayPal, and Skype enhancing their mobile payment systems. In addition, developing countries where there is a low banking penetration will witness a bigger reliance on mobile payments.

6. Mobile handsets. Mobile subscribers will grow from the current 5.3 billion. We expect the USA to come closer to 100% penetration rate as more people get connected especially in Africa where penetration averages 50%.

7. Facebook access. According to Facebook official page, there are currently 350 million active users that access Facebook on their mobile phones. My prediction is that in the year 2012 this number is expected to rise. In addition, Facebook use is expected to spread to other parts of the developing countries that currently have low mobile penetration.

Final thought...

As the Google CEO, Eric Schmidt said in 2010 the future is mobile. And any marketer, business owner out there who hasn't yet though of mobile marketing should reconsider his position. This mobile marketing wave is not about to stop.

A Look At Zune And iTunes For The HTC Radar And The iPhone 4S

We have recently seen the release of new mobile handsets that incorporate the latest versions of some established operating systems. The Apple iPhone 4S is one such release whilst HTC have released a range of new Windows 7 handsets including the new HTC Radar. Rather than focus on the handsets we thought it would be useful to take a look at the PC based software that these models use and see which is best for synchronisation and for general media player usage.

The iPhone 4S uses the iTunes software package and the Radar uses the lesser known but equally as impressive Zune software. When it comes to the design of these two packages then the Zune software catches the eye slightly more than Apples offering. The iTunes software uses a very familiar layout that is more about the ease of use that it offers rather than its visual impact. The platform has hardly changed over the past four years so although it is simple to pick up the layout does look slightly dated. The Zune software offers a layout which catches the eye thanks to impressive wallpapers and its great Metro user interface. There are some lovely touches on Zune which iTunes would really benefit from. If you are listening to a particular artist for example the software loads a background which is made up of all of the album covers ever released by the performer. Although this serves not practical use it does make the software stand out from its rival.

When it comes to synchronisation then the Zune software on the HTC Radar is a joy to use. When you download tracks or albums on your PC they are automatically added to your Zune library. This is in contrast to iTunes for the iPhone 4S where you have to manually add any tracks that were not downloaded using that program. Individual tracks can also be easily added directly to your Radar handset by dragging and dropping the desired track onto the phone symbol at the bottom of the screen. Both of these platforms support WiFi synchronisation which is great as it eliminates the need to have your phone hooked up to your PC or laptop with a USB cable. Another area where Zune seems to have the edge over iTunes is when it comes to obtaining album artwork. With iTunes if the artwork was missing you could search for it using a web browser and then copy it onto your iTunes but this process is quite time consuming. Zune will search for the artwork automatically and when we have tested the system there has not been one occasion where it has failed to find the image that we required.

There is no question that the iPhone 4S is technically a superior phone to the HTC Radar but the HTC certainly has the upper hand when it comes to the software that is needed to keep your phone up to date with all of your favourite music.

The HTC Radar and the iPhone 4S are available now.

Physicists move one step closer to quantum computer

ScienceDaily (Oct. 4, 2011) — Rice University physicists have created a tiny "electron superhighway" that could one day be useful for building a quantum computer, a new type of computer that will use quantum particles in place of the digital transistors found in today's microchips.

In a recent paper in Physical Review Letters, Rice physicists Rui-Rui Du and Ivan Knez describe a new method for making a tiny device called a "quantum spin Hall topological insulator." The device, which acts as an electron superhighway, is one of the building blocks needed to create quantum particles that store and manipulate data.

Today's computers use binary bits of data that are either ones or zeros. Quantum computers would use quantum bits, or "qubits," which can be both ones and zeros at the same time, thanks to the quirks of quantum mechanics.

This quirk gives quantum computers a huge edge in performing particular types of calculations, said Du, professor of physics and astronomy at Rice. For example, intense computing tasks like code-breaking, climate modeling and biomedical simulation could be completed thousands of times faster with quantum computers.

"In principle, we don't need many qubits to create a powerful computer," he said. "In terms of information density, a silicon microprocessor with 1 billion transistors would be roughly equal to a quantum processor with 30 qubits."

In the race to build quantum computers, researchers are taking a number of approaches to creating qubits. Regardless of the approach, a common problem is making certain that information encoded into qubits isn't lost over time due to quantum fluctuations. This is known as "fault tolerance."

The approach Du and Knez are following is called "topological quantum computing." Topological designs are expected to be more fault-tolerant than other types of quantum computers because each qubit in a topological quantum computer will be made from a pair of quantum particles that have a virtually immutable shared identity. The catch to the topological approach is that physicists have yet to create or observe one of these stable pairs of particles, which are called "Majorana fermions" (pronounced MAH-yor-ah-na FUR-mee-ons).

The elusive Majorana fermions were first proposed in 1937, although the race to create them in a chip has just begun. In particular, physicists believe the particles can be made by marrying a two-dimensional topological insulator -- like the one created by Du and Knez -- to a superconductor.

Topological insulators are oddities; although electricity cannot flow through them, it can flow around their narrow outer edges. If a small square of a topological insulator is attached to a superconductor, Knez said, the elusive Majorana fermions are expected to appear precisely where the materials meet. If this proves true, the devices could potentially be used to generate qubits for quantum computing, he said.

Knez spent more than a year refining the techniques to create Rice's topological insulator. The device is made from a commercial-grade semiconductor that's commonly used in making night-vision goggles. Du said it is the first 2-D topological insulator made from a material that physicists already know how to attach to a superconductor.

"We are well-positioned for the next step," Du said. "Meanwhile, only experiments can tell whether we can find Majorana fermions and whether they are good candidates for creating stable qubits."

Why Are Apple iPhone 4 8GB Deals More Expensive Than iPhone 4 16GB Deals?

The release of the latest iPhone 4S from Apple this month also saw the introduction of iPhone 4 8GB deals from all of the UK networks, however many consumers may be a little confused as to why this new, smaller memory capacity model has more expensive deals than the current iPhone 4 16GB edition.

Common sense dictates that a product offering double the memory of another should in theory cost more but the new iPhone 4 8GB deals are in fact more expensive on paper until you dig deeper and look at why this is.

The iPhone 4 16GB has been around now for some time and a free phone can be ordered by consumers for as little as £30 per month, the new 8GB edition however, will set the consumer back £35 line rental per month for a free phone.

There is a very simple explanation, because the 16GB edition iPhone 4 has been around for a while now the retailers are able to sell what they refer to as refurbished stock, these are phones that have been sent out to consumers and returned within the mandatory 7 to 14 day window for multiple reasons.

The returned handsets are then carefully inspected and any problems seen to be engineers before being given approval for sale as a refurbished handset, these are then sold at a discount to consumers as either refurbished or more commonly 'clearance' mobile phone deals.

The refurbished iPhone 4 phones are supplied with exactly the same manufacturers warranty should anything go wrong with the phone that is not user error and come boxed (usually replaced with a standard box) with the relevant accessories, charger, headphones and manual.

Most retailers state that there might be minor damage to the packaging due to the phone already being sent out once before as well as minor imperfections in the look of the handset itself, however with the greatly reduced pricing for these 'next to new' phones many consumers are willing to take up these far more affordable offers.

The new iPhone 4 8GB has only been available for a very short period of time and refurbished versions of the phone are not yet currently available, rest assured though that as soon as they are the retailers will be adding them to their websites with discounted line rental deals that will make this new iPhone even more affordable than its larger 16GB edition.

If you would like to take a look at the latest iPhone 4 8GB deals or peruse iPhone 4 deals for refurbished handsets then feel free to take a look at our website: Phones Limited.

The Concept of Mobile Marketing

Statistically, around the world, there are 4 billion mobile phone users and only 1.08 billion are mobile marketers. Majority, people around the globe doesn't know the concept of Mobile Marketing and how ingenuity has contributed in elevating communications to be faster and more versatile than before. As time crafted our civilization, man discovered to answer necessity through modern inventions and through man's creativity he revolutionized his inventions.

Mobile phone is an example of man's cunning ability in revolutionizing his inventions. From the simplest mobile phone, man introduced smartphones and through technological advancements we could now use it in accessing Internet, checking personal emails, chatting and video conferencing conveniently anytime and in any place. Its accessibility to connect within the internet resulted in an assumption that mobile internets shall take over desktop internet usage by 2014. By using smartphones, we became part of the mobile market or "in mobile".

The concept of mobile marketing is defined by our accessibility by using our smartphones in social networking, viewing the news, local searching, mapping, shopping and more. However, by being "in mobile", we should determine the potentials that technology has crafted within the smartphone and aside of its personal advantages (games, music, entertainment and video) we also should realize its marketability or the concept of mobile marketing. We should first understand why the developers of the smartphones made the possibility for us to connect in the internet and why this is a more convenient tool for communication.

In grasping the meaning of being "in mobile", we should use it as an advantage for business empowerment. In getting mobile, business transactions are no longer static within the premises of an office space. Business will be in motion, scientifically handling time appropriately without wasting a second and doing the entire itinerary anywhere. It increases production in a cost-effective manner cutting down travel time and expenses.

Aside from its mobility, the benefit that it could give every one especially during business transactions is the power to gain access in a complete real-time record of all transaction activity right away without waiting to access your Personal Computer. Monitoring and tracking the movement of any transaction from one system to another is easy and it could be at the palm of your hands in any given day.

The convenience of being "in mobile" is the effect of its aspect for mobility. By being "in mobile", the aspect of accessibility is also given substance. The accessibility of connecting all facets within the internet by using smartphones is also similar by using Personal Computers, however, the difference by being "in mobile" is its nature of being multipurpose.

Generally, if you have a mobile phone it doesn't mean that you're "in mobile" or part of the mobile market. You should first understand if your mobile phone could function entirely within the scope of getting mobile and if yes, you should still grasp its importance and usage, however, if the answer is no, try to acquire a smartphone and you might find it very handy to see the world without moving from one place to another.

Motorola RAZR Also Known As the Motorola Droid RAZR Announced for Release

Motorola has now announced the release of a new handset which many will recognise the name of, the new Motorola RAZR - which is also to be called the Motorola RAZR Droid in America takes on the branding from a previous phone sold some years ago called the Motorola RAZR V3.

The new Motorola RAZR is a very different phone to the V3 and it looks like the manufacturer is aiming to gain interest from one of its best-selling mobile phone models of all time by using the RAZR name tag once again.

There is some exciting new technology being used in the manufacture of the new RAZR, this includes a laser-cut Kevlar back cover which is the same material used in body armour and 'SplashGuard' which is a nano particle-based water repellant system that not only covers the outer casing but also the electronic innards of the phone.

Getting down to the bare bones in terms of features, the Motorola RAZR is a powerful smart phone with a 1.2GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM at its heart, the main touch screen measures 4.3 inches and uses the same Super AMOLED display technology found in the Samsung Galaxy S2.

On the reverse of the phone the Motorola RAZR again matches the Galaxy S2 with an 8 mega pixel camera supporting full 1080p HD video capture and there is a secondary 1.3 mega pixel camera on the front of the phone facilitating video calls.

Another Motorola phone may spring to mind whilst looking at these specifications which is the new Atrix 2 which is due to upgrade the existing Motorola Atrix very soon, however the Atrix 2 is not going to be sold in European markets and so the new RAZR will be the manufacturers flagship device in this area.

One point that may go against this new phone is that although it runs the very latest Android 2.3.5 operating system known as Gingerbread it will be up against competition from the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus which will be running the Android 4.0 system known as Ice Cream Sandwich, which could hurt sales.

To counter this Motorola have included some new software features of their own including one called 'Smart Actions' which allows the user to completely personalise their experience from changing the menus around to launching different applications within certain features.

The Motorola RAZR is extremely sleek which again points back to the days of the slim V3 model, this new phone measures a mere 7.1mm thin at its slimmest point but manages to pack in a multitude of features.

Connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and fast download speeds via HSPA+ as well as 3.5G support and Motorola have also addresses the problem of power drainage from the Android system by installing a large 1780mAh battery for a longer life between charges.

This new Motorola phone is due to be released in November.

5 Tips For Starting a Mobile Marketing Business

Perhaps you have been mulling over the idea of going into mobile marketing. It may be you want to start out as a consultant, content provider, bulk SMS reseller or become a mobile advertiser. The time is now. We have more than 5.3 billion handsets worldwide and opportunities beckoning. Let me give you a few tips free of clutter and complexities.

1. Provide real value.

Your customers expect relevance and valuable communication. Anything that is not beneficial and timely is of little value to recipients. Real value is when you send lunch coupons at 11:30 am instead of 3:30pm. Real value is when you offer to do a free consultation or give away an eBook full of moneymaking strategies.

2. Keep it simple.

You must realize SMS marketing is not a medium for long text communication. If you have big download long correspondence redirect people to a desktop website. Anything that is done through mobile devices needs to be scaled down. This includes mobile websites, websites clicks to the require information and graphics of a site.

3. Give harvesting opt-ins priority.

Opt in is a must have strategy for any business. Opt in is what allows you to send mobile marketing messages to recipients. By signing in they allow you to send them marketing related correspondence. In the absence of an opt in a person has recourse to sue and the fines are enormous. Thus, permission based marketing needs to be given top priority. Equally important is giving opt outs the same relevance and seriousness as opt ins.

4. Offer instant gratification.

Most users are spontaneous. And when you send a campaign that requires people to respond, you will get eager recipients ready to follow your instructions. It is never advisable to do a mobile marketing campaign that has no clear end results.

By the way, most people especially the youth are hyperactive and will to engage you using mobile phones if you are relevant. In the year 2011, over 8 trillion text messages are expected to be sent worldwide. This indicates that doing sms campaigns looks like the best form of offering instant gratification.

5. Make it social.

Mobile campaigns need to be interactive. Why? Because most people use phone to reach close friends, relatives and business associates. A campaign that encourages people to forward messages or one that has a wide appeal is likely to be a runway success. Besides that, it is necessary to tie campaigns to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Apple's iPhone 4 8GB Deals Receive First Discounts

The new iPhone 4 8GB edition from Apple offers a lower memory capacity for a smaller price tag than the two larger capacity 16GB and 32GB models but up until now has been priced very similarly to the deals for the 16GB refurbished handset.

Retailers have been able to offer significant discounts on the iPhone 4 16GB as a 'clearance' phone by inspecting, refurbishing and re-boxing their returned stock which has kept deals for the 16GB edition very close to those of a brand new 8GB version.

This has now changed as mobile phone suppliers secure cheaper prices for the new iPhone 4 8GB and pass the savings onto consumers via new discounted pay monthly contract deals, on release the new 8GB iPhone would have cost a minimum of £35 per month over a two year contract deal which was the same for the 16GB model.

Now, the brand new Apple iPhone 4 8GB can be ordered on T-Mobile with no upfront costs for as little as £30.64 line rental per month, that is a substantial saving of £104.64 over the minimum 24 month agreement.

Included in this T-Mobile tariff known as 'iPhone 30 + Unlimited Text' are 300 minutes of inclusive calls which can be used to call any network (including landlines) at any time of the day, an unlimited number of text messages which again can be sent to any network and a healthy 500MB of internet access which is essential for the iPhone 4 8GB to operate at full capacity.

The closest any other network gets to this free offer for the 8GB iPhone is from Orange which for a £31 per month line rental charge will allocate either 100 or 200 inclusive minutes on two separate tariffs, the first offers the fewer minutes but with unlimited SMS and substantial 1GB of inclusive data whilst the second only 250 text messages and 500MB of internet access.

The other three UK networks currently offering deals for the iPhone 4 8GB charge significantly more per month for a free phone, 3 Mobile ask for £35 per month, Vodafone require £36 and O2 are the most expensive at £37 line rental costs.

The 8GB edition of the iPhone 4 is to be the only model continued to be manufactured as the 16GB and 32GB versions are phased out in favour of the new iPhone 4S, this latest Apple release is already available in 16GB and 32GB variants but also a new, larger 64GB edition.

If you would like to take a look at the latest, discounted iPhone 4 8GB deals or peruse the new iPhone 4S deals then please pop over to our website: Phones Limited.

6 Ways To Measure SMS Marketing Success

There is no doubt SMS marketing is one of the best ways to grow a business. Text message open rates are as high as 98% and an average message is read within 4 minutes of receipt. There is also the fact that most people have their phones with them all the time. In addition, compared to other marketing channels, text is relatively cheap. This clearly makes text marketing medium of choice for anyone eager to grow a business.

However, not many marketers can tell the specifics of their last campaign. Why? Most don't know how to measure. And without measuring you can't know what is working and what is not. You can't tell what to drop and what to give more weight. Measuring the campaign metrics is absolutely crucial. Here are some tips...

1. Pr- launch metrics

Before any campaign one must know the purpose and standards of the campaign. Then get the current data available. Set off and determined what you will do with the data that will be collected at the end of the campaign.

2. Subscriber List

A subscriber list is crucial to your survival online. And it is important to know where your subscribers come from. What brings them to you and why. Before the launch of the campaign, you will check and analyze your subscriber base. Then, go ahead and launch the campaign. The following 4 items are the things you will need to measure with accuracy when it is all over.

3. New Subscribers

A campaign is successful if it brings in the desired number of new subscribers. Even more important is to determine their sources. Find out if subscribers are harvested through the campaign or as result of your friend's recommendations. This will greatly help in future campaign and decisions related to SMS marketing.

4. Opt-Outs

Well, opt outs are a sad reality of business. You can't have opt ins without opt outs. However, measure opt outs carefully. Learn why people opt out. This will help you improve you deliverables. In addition, find out how many people opt out immediately after the campaign. A possible indication they could have felt duped.

Other important opt out metrics include, demographics, opt out patterns and the overall growth rate of your campaigns. Incidentally, it is illegal to deny any one an op out or make it unnecessarily difficult. So let them go and thank them for their support.

5. Subscriber action

A subscriber action is not an easy metric to measure but it is important. When you send out a text message, you would be interested to know how people react. For instance, it wouldn't be important to know how many people visit your website, call for more information, forward the text to friends and those that visit the social media sites.

6. Sales

No doubt most campaigns are ultimately aimed at changing the bottom line. SMS marketing metrics that would be of interest are like

· The number of people who bought as a result of the SMS.

· The average sales per SMS?

· People who bought after a visit to a store or website in reaction to the message.

· The return on investment.

Can I Put Apple's iPhone4S Siri Features on My Regular iPhone 4?

You are probably wondering if you can get Siri voice command on your regular iPhone 4 rather than upgrading to an iPhone 4S, especially considering the reality that the 4S has sold out, waiting lists grow, and you were not in the long-line on opening day to get yours.

There was an interesting article in Technorati recently titled "Apple In Trouble: Hackers Successfully Ported Siri to the iPhone 4" by Salman Khan published on October 15, 2011. The article stated:

"Siri is Apple's new innovation and creativity. It's a new application added for iPhone 4s and a new way to control the iPhone with voice commands. Siri takes voice commands, you can ask Siri anything you want. Two Days earlier, the Apple Dev Team announced that porting Siri to the iPhone 4, can't port Siri without stealing some copyrighted files from the iPhone 4s. "The unique selling point of iPhone 4s is Siri and has a processor that's 2X's faster than the iPhone 4. If developers can exploit or hack Siri and place it on the iPhone 4, it could reduce the sale of 4S."

This tells me that Siri is basically an APP, not a new feature or technological breakthrough, just software, and if it runs on the so-called slower processor, then why does one need a 4S phone for something like that? It appears that Apple may have over-embellished the hype once again, in order to stay on the hyperbolic inflection point turn-off to keep redlining revenues. Apparently, Apple sold 1 million iPhone 4S models on the first day and 4 million over the first weekend.

In fact, there were wide spread outages on the "set-up" servers for those registering their new 4S phones, as no company has ever sold that many handsets in a day or weekend. The Wall Street Journal reported this in an article titled; "Softbank Server Glitch Damps iPhone 4S Launch," published on October 14, 2011 - the day the Apple 4S iPhones became available. MacRumors Online also had an article; "AT&T Activation Servers Overloaded with iPhone 4S Launch," also on October 14, by Arnold Kim.

Okay so, Apple's big announcement coinciding with Steve Jobs death had everyone waiting in line at Apple Stores across the nation for the iPhone 4S with an abundance of fanfare, but when iPhone users discover that they could have merely added an APP and thus, had the Siri features anyway, it will turn off many, even highly-sophisticated brand loyalists.

Now then, the company will most likely tell us that without the iPhone 4S processing speed, the Siri system won't work as well - which may be true since voice software is a processing hog, but will that explanation be enough to satisfy the iPhone 4S upgraders who spent big bucks to stay on the leading edge of Apple's technology, or will they be completely turned off and feel burned?

Well, to answer the question, yes, you can get Siri on your regular iPhone 4 and there should be instructions online on how to do this, which may or may not void your iPhone 4 warranty, and it may not work 100% as good as it might on the iPhone 4S or maybe it will, that remains a question. Still, I ask, why didn't Apple merely allow Siri as an APP or a software upgrade for a small one-time price, rather than using it as a reason to buy a newer model? Does Apple think everyone is stupid, that we are all dumb consumers serving their will? Maybe we are, maybe Apple is right, you decide. Please consider all this.

*In full-disclosure - this author owns NO Apple Products, and is not a brand loyalist of Apple, and believes their products are overpriced, over-hyped, and too trendy.

15 SMS Marketing Rules You Need to Know

Many marketers have discovered the immense benefits of SMS marketing to build a business. In fact, the Mobile Marketing Association estimates that in the year 2011 there will be 8 trillion text messages sent. As the use of text messages increases, so will the trust level plummet. It is important therefore to send your messages in such manner that you do not get blacklisted by your clients. Here are some surprising rules...

1. Send messages only to those on you opt in list. Anything otherwise is spamming and can land you in trouble.

2. At the point of opt in, state clearly that by signing up they should expect ongoing marketing messages.

3. Have a privacy statement on all your opt-in forms. Tell subscribers that you value privacy and that their telephone numbers will never be sold, rented or abused.

4. Have a double opt-in mechanism, ask your subscriber to re-confirm whether they'd like to receive regular text messages. This reduces future opt outs and guarantees that people know what they have signed for.

5. Tell your subscribers that charges may a levied to receive your text messages where applicable. In some places both the send and receiver of messages are charged. It is important that subscribers know this.

6. Send SMS that meets your customers' interests and needs. It is the only way you stay relevant and in the inner circle of your customer's list.

7. Keep off from overtly informal messages. They sound stiff and at times scary.

8. Avoid phrases that can easily be misconstrued and misinterpreted as racists or sarcastic.

9. Avoid abbreviations that are not commonly used. This will depend on the demographics and area of residence of your clients. Some countries weight is commonly measured in pounds while in others it is kilograms.

10. Follow proper English writing rules. Use proper punctuation, spelling and names. Writing in all CAPS sounds like you are shouting at the recipient.

11. Put your offer at the beginning of the text. Don't go round corners before you tell your clients that you would like them to come to your restaurant this coming Monday. And for that reason you've given them a coupon for $10.

12. Make you offer easy to understand. SMS marketing is about communication. And if your messages are ambiguous, your campaign will fail.

13. If you send out coupons show directions to your store. Do not assume everyone knows where you are found. Your diehard clients may also decide to forward messages to friends who have never heard of you and need to come to your store.

14. Avoid sending messages with graphics or those that are excessively long. If you have something that can't fit in standard text, then send a download link instead.

15. Always include opt-out instructions in every message. And when you receive one, process it promptly and gracefully.

If you follow these SMS marketing rules, you will get trusted and people will look forward to receiving your text messages. A violation of the same may increase your opt out rates and a poor image in the market.
