Take The Next Step Up With The Motorola Droid X2

The Motorola Droid X2 was released on August 1 2011 and is considered to be the 'Big Brother' to the previously released Motorola Droid X which came onto the market in July 2010.

With an excellent battery life and a great call quality, this is the phone for you if you need to get in touch a lot and not worry about interference or your phone going dead because it's run out of juice.

The Motorola Droid X2 looks pretty similar to its little Brother the Droid X, but it's a strong and sturdy phone that will work well for you at any given time, and you won't have to worry about breaking it as much because it comes with an extra bump on the back of the phone, right at the top which just makes it a bit sturdier.

Enough talk; let's see exactly how this Big Brother performs.

· Height: Just over 5 inches

· Width: just over 2.5 inches

· Depth: 0.39 inches thick

· Weight: 155 grams

· Screen: qHD display with a 540x960 pixel resolution

· A 1GHz ARM Cortex a9 core processor for faster browsing and better gaming

· 8 Mega-Pixel rear facing camera and 1080p video

· Operating system: Android 2.2.2 with plans to upgrade to the much-loved Gingerbread operating system very soon

· 512 MB RAM and 8GB of storage memory

· Removable storage: Up to 32 GB with the 8 GB microSD card

· A storage facility of up to 16 GB which means you can upload hundreds of tunes, photos and more

· Works on 3G as opposed to the 4G network that many brands are operating on now, but is fine for those who are not ready to use the newest network just yet while it is still new and improving

· Battery: 1540 mAH internal

· Carrier: Verizon Wireless

· Cameras: HB 1080p video and HDMI playback for the videos you have shot. 8 Mega pixel dual LED camera with reduced shutter lag and great picture quality

Although the Motorola Droid X2 is not that different from its predecessor, it does have a fairly good camera and its battery life is one that the makers should be proud of. You may be disappointed that it cannot run on the 4G network just yet, but while it is still new and while there are still improvements to be made, you can carry on using the trusted 3G network for the time being.

One of the great things I haven't mentioned about the Droid X2 is that it can be used as a hub for up to 5 devices, now that's quite a lot. If you do like to play games on your devices then you will have a greatly improved user experience on the X2, thanks to the sharp graphics and the fast operating system that is so much better than its younger Brother and is a fast and easy to use phone that isn't as complicated as other models.

The Droid RAZR From Motorola

Motorola released its latest phone known as the Droid RAZR in November 2011 and it has proven to be an excellent addiction to their ever-increasing range of top quality phones despite it being early days. When you are looking for a phone that is different but better, then you need to look no further than this masterpiece that is capable of a lot more than you might think.

There is not a lot that this phone cannot do; but rather than bore you with the details; here is a list of its features and specifications and what it can do:

Features and Specifications

· Operates on the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread system with a scope for future upgrades

· 7 millimeters thick, making it one of the thinnest phones on the market

· 4 inch screen

· Comes with extra-tough Gorilla glass

· Weighs about 0.130 Kilograms

· 1 GB of RAM which means you can store a whole load of music, pictures and more

· 16 GB Memory which means that you can store even more music, pictures and more!

· Dual core 1.2 GHz processor

· Standby battery that will last 203 hours without needing to be charged

· 11 hours of continuous talk time

· 4G network enabled

· Business applications for those who use the handset for work purposes

· Rear-facing 8 mega-pixel camera and a 1080 pixel video camera

· A whole host of games and the possibility to download more

· Thousands of apps that can be downloaded

· A great looking phone that stands out from the crowd

· Predictive text function for emails and text messages

· Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled

To be honest, the list could go on because this phone is a great one and I could rave about it all day. One of the best things about this phone is that it is different from a lot of the newer and older ones that other manufacturers are bringing out, and that is not a bad thing because as they say 'Variety is the spice of life', and it makes it stand out from the crowd.

The Gingerbread operating system that is found on android phones and other devices is known to be somewhat illusive and it's hard to find anything with this system on it, which makes the Droid RAZR from Motorola even more attractive. This operating system is a particularly fast and effective one that makes using phones, tablets and other devices so much easier and less of a chore.

As far as I am concerned, the Droid RAZR is the only phone for me; it is so easy to use, it has a phenomenal amount of memory and it looks so good it makes every other handset out there look like something from the eighties.

The Stunning Motorola Droid Bionic

The beautiful and sleek Motorola Droid Bionic is as technologically advanced as it sounds while giving you a handset that outshines all the others, thanks to its stunning design.

On September 8, 2011, Verizon released this very capable smart phone and despite us having to wait an extra nine months to get our hands on this unique handset, I can safely say that it was worth the wait.

Let's take a look at why the Droid Bionic is so good:

· Length: 5.1 inches

· Width: 2.6 inches

· Depth: 0.42 inches

· Weight: 158 grams

· 1 GHz OMAP4 Dual Core Processor

· Processor Speed: 1000 MHz

· 8 Mega Pixel Rear Camera With Dual Flash & 1080p HD Video Capture

· 3G & 4G Wireless Capability

· 4.3 Inch Screen with 960 x 540 Resolution

· Touch Screen

· Operating System: Android Gingerbread 2.3.4

· Memory: 1GB RAM

· Built In Memory: 16 GB

· Maximum Size of SD Card: 32 GB

· Multi Media Player

· Music Player that Supports: Mp3, AAC, MIDI and more

· Internet Browsing that Supports HTML and Flash

· USB Port (Micro USB 2.0)

· Wi-Fi Enabled (2.4 GHz)

· Bluetooth Enabled

The Droid Bionic is proud to be the thinnest 4G LTE handset around and that is quite an achievement when you think about all the other phones out there that are trying to compete. No-one needs a huge phone that takes up too much room, but we all need one with a screen that's big enough for us to see what we are going and the Droid Bionic lets us do just this.

What's also great about this handset is it's available on the 4G network, as you may have noticed; this network is something that all manufacturers are trying so desperately to get their handsets on because it is the network of the future and is a better, faster and clearer way of making calls, sending emails, texts and the like.

Ok so the Bionic does seem a bit pricey at around $299 when it comes with a 2 year contract and $589 without, but it is definitely worth it as you will be getting a phone that works faster than any other phone you have seen.

You will often see newer phones operating very quickly but the downside is that they will need charging fairly frequently and sometimes that just isn't convenient at all. The battery that comes in the Droid Bionic lasts a very long time and it is quite impressive, which means that you can use this phone with ease and not have to hunt for your charger.

The Motorola Droid is a modern, stylish, very powerful and fast phone and with quick navigation and Gorilla Glass to protect the screen. It's extremely fast yet tough enough to withstand a whole host of knocks and bumps.

Step into the future with the Droid Bionic from Motorola while it leaves other handsets trailing behind.

Comparison of The Long-Awaited Droid 4 and Droid 3 - Motorola on the Go!

In 2011, Motorola hit the market with their Droid 3 handset and now they have another fantastic handset they are planning to launch at the end of 2011. The Droid 4 is waiting to be released and is currently in the testing process but the stage has already been set for the Motorola Droid 4 cell phone so get ready for the launch!

You might be wondering why Motorola are releasing two similar handsets in the space of 6 months. Well, this is a much-debated topic these days on cell phone-related blogs and forums. There is a valid reason as to why Motorola is releasing two handsets of the same type and this can be easily understood by looking at a detailed overview of the specs of both the models.

Motorola Droid 3

Specs of this particular handset are:

· 1 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor

· GSM and CDMA

· Android 2.3

· QWERTY keyboard

· 4 inch wide-screen

· 8 megapixel camera

Motorola Droid 4

The all new Droid 4 is set to be released with the following features and specs:

· 1.2 GHz dual-core OMAP 4430 processor

· 4G LTE

· Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread

· 8 megapixel camera

· 4 inches wide-screen

· QWERTY keyboard

As you can see the core difference between the two models is their operating network. The Droid 3 supports the GSM and CDMA networks only, while the Droid 4 is 4G supportive. Today, where 4G technology is on the rise, you will find all the new cell phones are operated on the 4G LTE network. In such a 4G boom period, the Droid 3 is really facing a setback. Although you might see a lot of people still using the Droid 3 and loving it, it is not considered to be a cell phone that people will be using in the future. While thinking about the current market trend, Motorola has decided to launch the Droid 4 with 4G connectivity. Both these handsets belong to different categories, one competing with the GSM and CDMA phones while the other one is planning to give a tough time to other 4G handsets.

The processing speed is another difference between the two; the Droid 4 has a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor while the Droid 3 has a 1 GHz dual core processor. Both the handsets have an 8 megapixel camera and both have a fully fledged QWERTY keyboard. However, the Droid 4 keyboard is much better than the Droid 3;the Droid 4 has a complete keyboard similar to that of notebooks and also has the latest Android version which is the 2.3.5 Gingerbread system.

It is said that the Droid 4 will give all the other 4G handsets a tough time on the market and people are already waiting desperately for this superb cell phone. However, no one knows the exact release date of the Motorola Droid 4, but it will be with us pretty soon.

Motorola RAZR Also Known As the Motorola Droid RAZR Announced for Release

Motorola has now announced the release of a new handset which many will recognise the name of, the new Motorola RAZR - which is also to be called the Motorola RAZR Droid in America takes on the branding from a previous phone sold some years ago called the Motorola RAZR V3.

The new Motorola RAZR is a very different phone to the V3 and it looks like the manufacturer is aiming to gain interest from one of its best-selling mobile phone models of all time by using the RAZR name tag once again.

There is some exciting new technology being used in the manufacture of the new RAZR, this includes a laser-cut Kevlar back cover which is the same material used in body armour and 'SplashGuard' which is a nano particle-based water repellant system that not only covers the outer casing but also the electronic innards of the phone.

Getting down to the bare bones in terms of features, the Motorola RAZR is a powerful smart phone with a 1.2GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM at its heart, the main touch screen measures 4.3 inches and uses the same Super AMOLED display technology found in the Samsung Galaxy S2.

On the reverse of the phone the Motorola RAZR again matches the Galaxy S2 with an 8 mega pixel camera supporting full 1080p HD video capture and there is a secondary 1.3 mega pixel camera on the front of the phone facilitating video calls.

Another Motorola phone may spring to mind whilst looking at these specifications which is the new Atrix 2 which is due to upgrade the existing Motorola Atrix very soon, however the Atrix 2 is not going to be sold in European markets and so the new RAZR will be the manufacturers flagship device in this area.

One point that may go against this new phone is that although it runs the very latest Android 2.3.5 operating system known as Gingerbread it will be up against competition from the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus which will be running the Android 4.0 system known as Ice Cream Sandwich, which could hurt sales.

To counter this Motorola have included some new software features of their own including one called 'Smart Actions' which allows the user to completely personalise their experience from changing the menus around to launching different applications within certain features.

The Motorola RAZR is extremely sleek which again points back to the days of the slim V3 model, this new phone measures a mere 7.1mm thin at its slimmest point but manages to pack in a multitude of features.

Connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and fast download speeds via HSPA+ as well as 3.5G support and Motorola have also addresses the problem of power drainage from the Android system by installing a large 1780mAh battery for a longer life between charges.

This new Motorola phone is due to be released in November.

Inductive charging and the Droid Bionic

Last updated: Thursday, August 11, 2011

Inductive charging isn’t new, but more and more we’re seeing handsets come to market ready to support the technology. For some time the most common inductive chargers came from Powermat, and the company sold adapters that allowed popular phones to work with their wireless charging system. This model was somewhat unsustainable, as it gave your phone
