Take The Next Step Up With The Motorola Droid X2

The Motorola Droid X2 was released on August 1 2011 and is considered to be the 'Big Brother' to the previously released Motorola Droid X which came onto the market in July 2010.

With an excellent battery life and a great call quality, this is the phone for you if you need to get in touch a lot and not worry about interference or your phone going dead because it's run out of juice.

The Motorola Droid X2 looks pretty similar to its little Brother the Droid X, but it's a strong and sturdy phone that will work well for you at any given time, and you won't have to worry about breaking it as much because it comes with an extra bump on the back of the phone, right at the top which just makes it a bit sturdier.

Enough talk; let's see exactly how this Big Brother performs.

· Height: Just over 5 inches

· Width: just over 2.5 inches

· Depth: 0.39 inches thick

· Weight: 155 grams

· Screen: qHD display with a 540x960 pixel resolution

· A 1GHz ARM Cortex a9 core processor for faster browsing and better gaming

· 8 Mega-Pixel rear facing camera and 1080p video

· Operating system: Android 2.2.2 with plans to upgrade to the much-loved Gingerbread operating system very soon

· 512 MB RAM and 8GB of storage memory

· Removable storage: Up to 32 GB with the 8 GB microSD card

· A storage facility of up to 16 GB which means you can upload hundreds of tunes, photos and more

· Works on 3G as opposed to the 4G network that many brands are operating on now, but is fine for those who are not ready to use the newest network just yet while it is still new and improving

· Battery: 1540 mAH internal

· Carrier: Verizon Wireless

· Cameras: HB 1080p video and HDMI playback for the videos you have shot. 8 Mega pixel dual LED camera with reduced shutter lag and great picture quality

Although the Motorola Droid X2 is not that different from its predecessor, it does have a fairly good camera and its battery life is one that the makers should be proud of. You may be disappointed that it cannot run on the 4G network just yet, but while it is still new and while there are still improvements to be made, you can carry on using the trusted 3G network for the time being.

One of the great things I haven't mentioned about the Droid X2 is that it can be used as a hub for up to 5 devices, now that's quite a lot. If you do like to play games on your devices then you will have a greatly improved user experience on the X2, thanks to the sharp graphics and the fast operating system that is so much better than its younger Brother and is a fast and easy to use phone that isn't as complicated as other models.
