Even in today's 21st century people who own a computer prefer sending letters to their loved ones to enquire about them and stay in touch.

*Phone calls
After the advent of telephones people started deviating themselves to phone calls so as to stay in contact with their friends and relatives. Phone calls were then comparatively cheaper to the letters service. The advantage in phone calls was that people could communicate with each other through over a phone call on frequent basis. Moreover, the process of phone class was quick when compared to letters.

*SMS and E-mails

Today with SMS's and emails gaining pace we see every other person using these services for communication purposes. Today sending a message to a person living in another country has indeed become a matter of one click.

Well, talking about the role of social networking sites in communication it is immense. No other source of communication can be as useful as these social networking sites. One can chat, socialize and communicate with their long lost friends. As our friends and relatives always stay online, communication with them on a routine base has become indeed very easy.
