Beginners Guide for Cell Phone Tracking

Before launching a downloadable cell phone tracker it is important to understand a few basics in order to navigate through the maze of available programs. First, decide what you want the tracker to do. Second, there are several types of tracking systems- one of which is for GPS tracking. Third, many of the free apps are designed for GPS tracking rather than other types of tracking and require a cell phone with a GPS signal. Fourth, every cell phone tracker has a specific app to that provider. Finally, any cell phone can be tracked even prepaid phones.

Decide first, why you want a cell phone tracker. If you want to know your children whereabouts at any time, there are many free trackers available for that purpose. Nearly all cell phone service providers offer a free application for location tracking. Most of them use Google Earth for the map locator positioning.

If, on the other hand, you want a mobile tracker that includes stealth abilities, there are some excellent ones available on the web. The best of these programs are not free. Some are network integrated through a user network for a monthly fee. Network-based trackers are more complicated to install and monitoring is accessed through the hosting agent rather than your own personal space. Most network apps require access to the target phones.

However, there are mobile tracker application programs that use methods other than GPS signals and are capable of tracking even prepaid phones. Those that are reliable are sometimes costly but offer the most complete types of tracking. One such program was developed by IT specialists who worked for the federal government and does not require access to the target phone. It can be installed on your phone or your PC thereby avoiding the networking nightmares.

Regardless of which mobile tracker application you decide to use, except for network systems the basic installation is simple. You simply download the app to the cell phone you want to track or to the computer that will receive the tracking information. Shortly after that, you will receive a login code to accept the tracking system. Once you accept the program, you will receive step by step instructions for that particular program telling you how to set up the tracker chosen. There are usually only 4 or 5 steps to follow and the non techs wording is easy to follow.

If your primary interest in using this software to keep track of where your children or family is, it is best to start with one of the simpler programs available. If you find it beneficial to track employees, a paid program is probably more suitable.

You will always be able to find what you're looking for with the Cell Phone Tracker.

  1. My 85 year old mother has a Tracfone SVC, a simple cheap phone for seniors. Their advertising says that the phone can be tracked. Is this true? Can a simple phone like this be tracked. I need to know in case she wanders off and gets lost.
